  Your description of the principle behind the regeneration of funds is right. But the examples you give are way out of Gyan's league. Gyan is rich by Ghanaian standards. But he hasn't got that sort of money that will regenerat ...

  Your description of the principle behind the regeneration of funds is right. But the examples you give are way out of Gyan's league. Gyan is rich by Ghanaian standards. But he hasn't got that sort of money that will regenerate a lot to maintain a huge initial investment. He is not a dollar billionaire and he is - yes, "just" a footballer.
  
  Yes the astro-turf needs to be maintained. The school may not have the funds to do that. Perhaps Gyan doesn't intend the turf to last forever. For what it is worth, it will do something before it goes down. So it's a short term goal.
  
  Other things that Gyan can do with his money? Labs and libraries? Perhaps, yes. And he may have advisers who tell him otherwise. But the final decision is his to make. Perhaps that is the only true joy he may derive from the whole enterprise. Let's give him the slack...
  
  He surely has done other things too that will benefit the nation.
