So the nameless staff are out on a vendetta because the electoral commissioner has asked them to step aside for investigations into graft at the EC to commence.
The serious fraud office, some weeks ago, adviced the electoral commissioner to suspend some key staff to pave the way for investigations into embezzlement. The affected staff have responded by asking the president to impeach the electoral commissioner so her attempt at fighting corruption at the electoral commission will be dead in the water.
Who said fighting corruption in Ghana is easy?
These are all the issues that frustrate the fight against corruption in Ghana.
Those who stand up to fight it are frustrated by politics and in the law courts of judiciary riddled with corruption on justice on sale.
The allegations levelled against Charlotte Osei are related to events which happened over two years ago.
Why have the staff found it necessary to wait two years, and after she has asked investigations to commence on certain individuals, before petitioning the President?
Luckily, we have a very intelligent President who will quickly understand the petition for what it is; an attempt to frustrate the electoral commissioner into capitulation, causing her to abandon the case against some staff of the commission.
The president must show his resolve in fighting corruption by placing the urgency with which corruption must be fought over and above partisan politics.
I know there has been nervousness about the alleged loyalty of Charlotte Osei to the NDC, but it is the same chairperson who declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo president of our current republic. That means, the electoral commissioner can be objective and capable of doing the right thing. NPP has nobody to fear except the electorate come 2020.
To go by alleged loyalty of office holders to certain parties as reason for removing them from office is counter productive to the NPP, its bad politics and inately wrong. NDC showed a lot of maturity by leaving Theodora Wood insitu despite concerns that she was too close to the NPP. It is time for the npp too to show some leadership by working with office holders who do not share npp's ideology. This is indeed democracy.
Is it not wise to retain these alledged sympathisers of the Ndc in office and try to win them over rather than sacking them and in the process make them lifelong sympathisers of the NDC?
Politics is a game of numbers. It is not unusual for public office holders to cross carpet into another party if they are given a friendly treatment by but incumbent party.
Nana should concentrate part of his effort at winning over voters and talent from the Ndc. That is good politics. After all, NDC has been in power far longer than the NPP. Talent from the NDC can be won over but it takes wise leadership. A vote won from the NDC adds two tallies to the NPP: a vote lost to the NDC and a vote gained by the NPP. Let's use our heads.
You can't sack an NDC sympathiser and expect them to defect to the NPP. You keep them in their jobs and then you try to convince them to join you. People don't have to be sacked for jobs to be created for NPP sympathisers. Create new job opportunities not robbing from Peter to pay Paul. Ghanaians are asking for job opportunities to be created and not job taken from other Ghanaians. They don't want musical chairs. Wise up and stop sacking people, for in the long run, it will only hurt the NPP.

IF the law must work, the PETITIONERS MUST BE KNOWN and sued for defamation. That is the way the law works. To petition, you must not be coward or hide under a lawyer. That is how the law works.

You and the MP must use your brains to know that it is the attorney general who has to review the petitioners name and not the lawyers. They are witnesses and their identity must be protected until the hearing begins
