The man is made by his parents and siblings but they are discounted when it comes to sharing property of a dead man. Yes women should have a share but they are being over-recognised for their contribution in the family. The children must receive priority in such instances and then the parents of the man if they are alive. Why? when the man dies poor in most instances, his children's responsibility sometimes come back to the old parents as the woman, if she cant afford the children, looks elsewhere for another husband who might not want to carry the extra baggage the woman is carrying. Yes the woman's contribution must be recognised but not up to 70% plus as the law seems to imply. This is the reason why some uncles reject responsibility of nephews. The law must be fair and not be swayed to one side because of emotion
