After the death /murder of Mills NDC lost all its appeal and there was no hope it would ever get back on the right track to serve the interests of the people.NDC is a disappointment and will end up on the landfill of rubbish organizations . NPP from the looks of things will most likely also be joining them soon and in their place the AKAN freedom movement will rise. Anytime an Akan actually does something good or worthy for the nation some pepeni , ayigbe , Muslim or some other minority comes and destroys everything dead, that is the fact. 58% of our bauxite was handed over as a step to colonize the wealth of the Akan , were in the world would a minority be given such privileges if it was not to undermine the majority. These are all the same basic conditions demanded by banks,lenders or creditors before borrowing you money.From Bawumia's own mouth,Ghana govt has used its natural resources to secure loan from China and the interest rate will be in single digit.The money will be given to some selected commercial banks.Let me tell this guy that we don't need a loan from China to build a bauxite factory,we already have Valco sitting idle in Tema.The same NPP govt bought all the shares of foreigners in Valco for $700 million during Kuffour's era.What is Valco doing now with our bauxite?Are we getting any profit from Valco?Bawumia went to China for a loan including the remining $2 billion of the CDB.Let me tell you how Kwame Nkrumah went for loan in America to build Akosombo Dam in the 60s.Despite that Americans and the World Bank gave us money to do the project,we also contributed cash,some percentage anyway.
That's what you call partnership.Nkrumah didn't sit down and fold his arms for Americans to finance all the project.Ofcourse we paid back the loan,it was never free.So please stop telling us that we are not going to pay anything.What do you take the Chinese for?Even Valco that was a private American venture,the Ghanaian govt contributed cash to get some shares.Now let's come to our oïl.Cosmos and Tullow are the big shareholders.Despite that the oïl is found in our seas the govt still contributed some cash in a form of partnership.You cannot share profit with any private entrepreneur when you have not invested in your own mineral resources.You can only get some loyalties but not shared profit as this crooked guy is saying.We have many examples in this country where govt has made joint ventures with foreigners so you can't come and fool us.The Komenda Sugar Factory is another example where Ghana govt participated in financing the project with some Indian private entrepreneurs.Afterall,you guys went to meet the Chinese govt so you think they will come and give you $19 billion and share profit with you just like that?We are waiting for details.This Chinese $19 billion deal smells of crooked edges so please stop this rubbish about joint venture and present the MOU to parliament.Thank you.

For the infornation of the Godwin Boakos in our midst, Thailand earned US$71 billion from 31 million visitors in 2016. Food for thought.
If we preserve the Atewa Range, we can use it to anchor an ecotourism industry centred on the proposed Atewa National Park, which will create wealth that stays in Ghana and jobs galore for Akyem Abuakwa's younger generations.
A far better deal, would have been to grant rights to Chinese investors to do joint-venture deals with Ghanaian entrepreneurs to self-finance (with borrowed money from state-owned Chinese banks) the building of infrastructure, such as railway lines from Accra to all the regional capitals, which they will own and operate for 25-30 years - in exchange for not paying any taxes on their profits during that period.
Will that not create a modern railway network for the nation without government lumbering Ghanaian taxpayers with yet more debt (and it is debt no matter how it is dressed up as) that will destroy the future of our younger generations?
Ditto provide other modern infrastructure for Mother Ghana - without mortgaging our future in such crass fashion: which the nonsensical notion of tearing down the Atewa Range to mine poor quality bauxite represents? Ebeeii.
We expect better thinking from our nation's new leaders - they must never forget that. Ever. Haaba.
