What class were your parents, your grandparents and your grandparents also middle class? Rubbish! You have a class complex.

What you regard as class is the castle impressionable women build in their heads as part of their rite of passage.....until they finally mature.
Your essay would have been more insightful if you had rather explored the challenges of inter-ethic marriage; or marriages across the educational divide.

But why should she have rather explored the challenges of inter-ethnic marriage when that is precisely something she set out NOT to write about?

Her point is quite clear. Think when we didn't have the internet and we can focus better on that individual person you liked. Internet dating from the West is different and I have said, don't go about it like the West. We can still maintain the class structure we have always had and meet people. This is not discrimination. However, the Western ideology has always been about Race; theirs has been to maintain the White race as a superior being than blacks. Africans on the other hand, have do better because we hardly and don't think of social benefits in race terms.
I am a proponent that every new social tool, like the internet must be applied (in its use) from a historical comparative. The tool is build with Western philosophy and therefore will work for their interest. However, this internet grid because of its universal utility, the African cannot escape it. This means to use it we must approach it from the African culture perspective. It will be wrong, as the writer identified the race-class social structure from her background contrary to the African experience.
So, we can use it, but it must be explored further, how best it will be conducive to our benefit.
Even my own class avoid me.
