It's good to urge Rawlings to write his biography. I think the whole reason why there is no biography is that writing is not our way of doing things and reading is not our way. As a result, we don't really have many people WHO CAN WRITE.
It is not everybody who has gone to school who can write. Obed Asamoah did well by writing but his book was not very good and needed a lot of editing.
It is because we lack sufficient writers that we don't have enough good books about Rawlings. Even if he doesn't write himself and prevents others from writing, there are always unauthorised biographies that even Rawlings cannot succeed in preventing from being published.
Well, it is not too late for Rawlings to come out with his book. I suspect he must be working on it. He doesn't have to pen it himself but work closely with a good writer to do so.
We keep waiting. Let's hope when he authorises an official biography, he really gives the writer free reign like Steve Jobs and Warren Buffy did to their biographers (Warren Buffet regretted his decision, anyway even though SNOWBALL was a good read).
