Surely, many people know that it is not a stretch that the World Bank is all gung-ho for privatization.
That is their core tenet for "development" that has continued to fail so many countries.
We would have like to read about some historical basis by IMANI for the push that "PPPs can fix education" in Ghana.
Where is the proof, if we take out the "better incentives" personnel in the private sector get?
Was education better performing than some institutions in Ghana at any and what happened to cause the degradation?
From the little we know, using the US as an example, the entire US was for public education until Brown vs Board of Education in 1954, then they started talking about vouchers and choice because many communities did not see it fit to provide equal education opportunities to Blacks and other minorities who are unlike them.
The caution here is this: We should not jump the wagon to blame teachers for the failure of politicians (many of whom send their children to schools overseas) to ensure equal access to education resources regardless of where Ghanaians live.
