You see how everything revolves around mobile technology with Internet of Things? Support for high-value smartphones is a market for the long haul. Think of the latent possibilities. People value their high end devices(N380k, $600-$1000 for phones & rising) they send it by DHL to & fro Abuja. Is it for peanuts? Still think it's only for Lebanese & Chinese to run cool centers in your cities & reap alone? Or for low-skill street boys?

You must be dunce, stupid or purposefully evil, Yaw Ampafoh Obrempong, or just maybe clueless. There can be no excuse for the abject barbarism on display on that fateful day any which way you slice it. Here are some basic facts that must be hammered into the pea brain of yours. A community of civilised people with respect for the laws of the land and civil institutions would not behave like a pack of wolves or chimpanzees. The people of Denkyira Obuase are either civilized or belong to the chimpanzee era. The late Captain Mahama came under civil arrest at the hands of people with or without facts. They did not apprehend Captain Mahama engaged in or attempting to commit a crime or perceived crime except for being a human being amidst a bunch of animals. And if the barbarians of Denkyira Obuase had respect for the law or for authority should have handed him over to the police fully clothed and not stripped naked and certainly not contemplated burning a human being alive. Did stripping him naked not fit into the barbarian notion of rules of the jungle? How many of us in Ghana have a clue what the Akuffo-Addo administration is about on any given day or what previous administrations were about except for the misinformation we get from partisan and unreliable sources? So why has our clueless existence or lack of information not turned us into the barbarians of the Denkyira Obuase kind? Do Ghanaian citizens need clearance or travel documents to travel across the country? If no then what was Captain Mahama's crime except that the ignorant folks in the community did not know him or what he was doing in Denkyira Obuase. But tell me, Yaw Ampafoh Obrempong, do the chimpanzees in Denkyira Obuase stop or even become suspicious of foreigners who come through the town or district?

You are out of order, please. The issue at stake now is whether the suspension of the DCE was right and not the action by the 'barbaric' people of Denkyira.

The point the writer makes is a different one and should not be clouded by the sentiments surrounding Major Mahama's violent death.
It is important that there is clarity so that the citizenry who have stood with the Mahama Family understand the purpose of the deployment of the Military in the area.
In my humble opinion, the writer has asked very pertinent questions and I see no evil with that.
Thank You.

Abeeku Mensah the coon, why discribing a whole community as chimpanzees are your tribe better than them. The writer has continually criticise the horrible unfortunate lynching of the capt mahama but at the same time we need to know what's brought such a painful incidents so that it's may not occur any where in the country. Upon your own primitive analysis insulting the people of denkyire as if where you come from there are only holy people living in that area people don't commite crime like stealing, women/men not cheating on their partiners, no commiting of abortions, petty crimes.why are we afraid to let the truth comes out since the accident happened we did not see the minister of land and mineral resources at the funeral or whether he has come out to speak so pls keep quiet and let the good people of Ghana who want the betterment of our future generations look for truth?

Mr. Abeekus, it is obvious your prejudiced mind refuses to go pass sentiments. Trying to distort the message in the article is a low blow. The military lied, so did the captain's family, and strangely enough our government went along with all the lies. Clearly the NPP government is afraid of the Ghana Military, all of which now explains the knee jerk reaction by Nana Addo's government in rushing to offer state burial while ignoring the police officer who was killed in the line of duty doing a more honourable thing for country than we can perhaps say about the captain.

Is Truthfulness Important for Nation-building? Should we be confined to only one side of the truth?
Now that the late Mojor Mahama (may his humble soul rest in perfect peace) has been given a "befitting" burial, let's use one stone to kill two birds:
(1) to end instant (in)justice of the unfortunate and unacceptable kind meted out to him, but also
(2) to ask the hard questions; as a means to bringing finality to all issues.
As a nation, we must always aspire to unveil the truth in all matters, to uphold the truth, and be steadfast and truthful.

This is part of the orchestrated attempt to dampen the weight of the crime perpetrated by the people of Boase and to give credence to the Upper Denkyira West DCE who had been described as stupid and jumping to conclusions and therefore the regional authorities asked for forgiveness for him since they know of the presence of the soldiers and their legal mission.
It seems to me that some of you tend to see things through either tribal or political lenses and I can hardly see what this article is intended other than that.Would the questions you are asking justify the lynching of the major. Is it not a fact that the officer was there on orders of the military and therefore government who were aware of his presence there.Would your reservations if true justify the murder of the officer.
I suppose since you heard the name Mahama there has been an attempt by people like you to make the whole dastardly act look like there is more to it than meets the eyes and with all your insinuations ,you have not justify any good reason to mitigate the crime.

Let's forget about the "agents" of the military and C&G who have decided to come in with their usual diversionary tactics. You can deduce from their scholarly writings that they really understand the context of this article but will stir emotions because they know what they want to achieve.
Capt Mahama's barbaric killing is very unfortunate and every effort must be made to bring the perpetrators to book, but we must know that the whole country is insecured if the military high command is not truthful and will condone illegality.
