You are right but looking at the other side of the coin, if it had not been posted, details of this gruesome act will not have been known.

It is just sheer callousness for people to gleefully take such videos and share them on social media. For those who believe there was an advantage to the posting of the gruesome video and that it helped to bring to book the killers, I ask them, would they have been happy about the situation if it had happened to their relatives or friends? What prevented the person who took the video to give the footage to the police service or military for that matter. I think that would have been the right thing to do if they really had the right intentions instead of disgracing this honourable man even in his death by sharing this untimely end on social media. Indeed Ghana as a country really need renewed laws and cyber protected acts to help protect and control what the the public could do, say or show on the internet. The use of social media in Ghana has been abused ever since its inception and its high time this stops. No one deserves what the soldier went through from the people who killed him to the people who joyfully or in awe shared the gruesome video. God bless our homeland Ghana!

The writer seems to suggest we don't need these pictures to show how gruesome the act of lynching is, or people who take the pictures enjoy the act itself.
I profundly disagree. A picture speaks more than a thousand words.
The pictures that showed the naked body of the beloved son also showed the people who committed that crime.
The pictures also help in shaping the conscience of our nation. Take the pictures and the crime becomes just like everyday crime.
The very idea of the videos may have stop the military attacking the village knowing that their deeds would be on camera.

Without the technology would the man's Family have known what happened to him and would justice be meted out by volunteers like you driving to the police to report? How would the police even start to investigate we're it not for some visuals shared?
Lets be objective and don't condemn a technology that allows us to confront our social shame and communicate with the reasonable backwards cover-up culture to protect our family image when in fact what is needed is JUSTICE for the poor soul too tired and killed and his family!

Without the technology, would the man's family have known what happened to him and would justice be meted out by volunteers perhaps driving to the police to report? How would the police even start to investigate were it not for some visuals shared?
There are reports that this kind of barbaric practice has happened several times in that town area to other people and no lessons learned!
Lets be objective and don't condemn a technology that allows us to confront our social shame and help us communicate, and confuse it with the backwards cover-up face-saving image protection culture we have, when in fact what we need in Ghana is such exposure for SOCIAL JUSTICE. It is not a shame to die in a manner the man did not choose but a shame to cover it up!

U see!. The writer is an educated illiterate who knows next to noting. These murderers virtually sent their death warrants to the executioner by posting those gruesome videos. Do u know the apathy and sympathy that the video engineered from Ghanaians and beyond. Do u know hw it aided police in the apprehension of the suspects. Ur mouth would hv been a zipped one had it not been for the video. Certain things are necessary evils, so come clean next time and stop ranting and raving like a toothless bulldog.
