Instead of saying the truth that you have employed 1200 youth employees under the Youth in agriculture extension module for which they are to be paid 350 cedes a month.
Anyway big failure awaits Ghana for this programme if the minister is to continue with this his YEA plan and tricks.
Most of us have rejected this offer and those who didn't reject this offer will do 350.00 cedes work for you.
Thank you

I even wonder whether this program was planned before. It is so sad to be a graduate of agric college since we are not seen to be important in nation building. Why won't army worms become a problem in Ghana?

Given Ghanaians hope for the future about the serious problems confronting agriculture sector during the campaign season and it was amazing but the current planting for food and jobs is sad. Most of the farmers received their inputs last two weeks ago and the problem of fall army worms had become a serious disadvantage to the farmers. Agricultural extension graduates are in the house still searching for job and the President goes around with good news that he had employed 1200 AEA's. What a pity Ghana had lost it's value for agriculture.

WHO SAID AGRICULTURE IS THE BACKBONE OF GHANAS ECONOMY?
Think of this training Institutions in Ghana,Teacher Training, Nursing training,Police training,Custom training,Military training, Fire Service, and Agric training schools. Among all the training colleges in Ghana, there is yearly recruitment process by its Human Resource except Agric Colleges. What is the sense in setting up The Agric Colleges? Do u know that there is only 5 Agric Colleges in Ghana which produces less than 800 graduates every year? Mean while there is a short fall of AGRIC EXTENSION OFFICERS IN GHANA.Currently there is a short fall of 3600 EXTENSION officers in Ghana. This means The government is collapsing Agriculture drastically. I think the Human Resource Base should be managed by Ministry of Education. Any Institution that developed its Human Resource personal as JOBLESS IS USELESS AS THE HUMAN RESOURCE IN AGRIC MINISTRY. Farmers get their source of farming education from AGRO CHEMICAL SHOPS IN GHANA HOW COME meanwhile officers are jobless.HIS EXCELLENCY NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFFO ADDO AND THE MINISTER OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURE DR. AFRIYIE AKOTO I think your government will not collapse Agric, and if that is the Your government should do a massive recruitment for the Agric College graduates for farmers to get Maximum benefit of the " PLANTING FOR FOOD AND JOB PROGRAM "or I can assure you the program will collapse very soon. The Ghanaian Cedi can never be stable if AGRIC is ignored. I can tell for a fact that Ghana cocoa will not be patronized by the outside World very soon because of excessive application of agro chemicals on Cocoa. When you eat healthy food you are free from hospital but excessive application of chemicals on crops make us sick all the time. Ghana needs the services of Extension officers.
Teachers, Nurses, The police,The Military,Fire Service, Custom are back bone of Ghana's Economy and not Agric The President and the citizens eat but because they import food from outside they don't care about Agric. Teachers,Nurses and Doctors the we are all eating nowadays are poison.
If the services of Agric Colleges are not needed in Ghana we SHOULD STOP TRAINING THEM WITH TAX PAYERS MONEY TO SAVE THE PUBLIC PURSE AS THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA NANA ADDO SAID BECAUSE THIS IS UNFAIR TREATMENT ON THE PART OF THE GHANA GOVERNMENT. There are a lot of vacancies at the Ghana Cocoa board,Agric Extension service, Veterinary Service, Forestry,Fisheries and a lot of avenues yet still no employment. THIS IS SAD AND PATHETIC.
