He could have written that they were executed after a bogus trial at a kangaroo court and that justice was not done.
That is different from saying "executed without trial".

What Kennedy wrote gives the impression that these people were just rounded up and shot.
Some of us were old enough and remember the situation well and we will not let Kennedy, who was not old at that time, deceive us.

Some of us were old enough and remember the situation well and we will not let Kennedy, who was not old at that time, deceive us.
The fact is that these guys were given some form of trial and shot. Many Ghanaians rejoiced at the shootings and many also didn't mind. Ampadu Boateng said on GBC 2 "let the blood flow" and got a reprimand from his bosses.
It was afterwards that many of us realised that these guys shouldn't have been shot for the offences they were said to have committed. We realised that the trial they got was not just and fair. Many people (but not all) realised that the whole thing was wrong.
If Kennedy writes that these guys were not tried, he is telling blatant lies and not correctly representing what actually happened.
History must be correctly narrated.
