1. Don't lose your roots in Ghana (mum and siblings).
2. Dont' forget to say thank you every day to your wife. Remember the enormous sacrifice she has made. And don't ever think of dumping your "white" wife for a "black", now that things are going well for you - that will be your end.
3. Stay focused - it's very easy lose focus in America ( I have lived there)

Deducing from the fact that you graduated from JHU just this year, you probably has been in the USA for not more than 6 years - possibly four years. Your statement that high schools in Ghana do not keep transcripts is too preposterous. I don't know which high school you completed in Ghana but be aware hundreds of Ghanaian secondary/high school students have applied and gained admission to many high end academic institutions, including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Washington, JHU, you name them - all providing their transcripts - several decades before your coming to the USA. If your high school was providing you with your terminal reports, it's equally possible to put these reports together for a transcript. High schools in Ghana are far better than what you project in your write-up here, and most Ghanaian Secondary/High School students who came to the USA for College/University education have proved that with their academic performances. Ghana deserves better promotion from people like you!
