Yeah, there are those who are daring the president to crack the whip against our archaic stupid "me-myself-and-I" foolishness that had redirected the country's mindset to doom.
Look, I have this opinion that if we cannot do the right think to salvage Ghana from the edge of the cliff but ask some people to do that for us then there are no sane minds in our dear nation or, simply put, no one thinks in Ghana.
I will throw a challenge to the heads of the "untouchable head of the civil servants" to go to any of the advance nations around the globe and see if people in those nations have that "closed-mindset" like them.
Ghana should adopt the hour pay system by clocking in and out and I think it will erase that reckless and irresponsible mindset the civil servants have in Ghana. It will be a daunting job but if we can adopt that system, most Ghanaians will sit up and understand that they have to work before getting paid.

His character and those of his men very appalling, don't you see how his government has brought lawlessness.indispline, chaos ,confusion to our Beloved Ghana? Why are the Npp making Nana Addo god to Ghanaians? Almighty God won't give His Glory to any mortal being. GOD IS GOD ALWAYS, HE NEVER CHANGES. HE IS NOT RESPECTER OF PEOPLE!!

There is nothing magical in the so called advanced economies except that there is law, order, and good government. Does Akufo-Addo have the know-how to provide these three basic democratic imperatives to transform our country? I doubt it, but only time will tell.
The fact is that Akufo-Addo is a product of the country's sordid 'nyebro' culture, and as such he is bound to fail, because the records of Ghana's home grown political leaders have been abysmally awful in providing the much needed economic transformation as needed; from JJ Rawlings, JA Kufour, Atta Mills down to JD Mahama, the record is nothing to write home about. The fact is that these local leaders lack the strong mental acuity or intellectual capacity, if you will, to transform the country.
Ghana should look abroad for the Nkrumahs and the Busias to bring about the much needed change. Every attempt by our local leaders is an exercise in futility - they have nothing to offer.

I was a pioneering member of Christian Fellowship and Prayer meetings in work places in Accra which took place in the precincts of the State Housuing company in Accra. The tennets of our cnstitution was to preach the gospel to all office staff and workers .On every wednesday and Friday we fellowshiped and prayed for the corporation on our own time,viz,1200 pm to 1245 pm and went to our various places of work to do our normal work without stealing Government,s time, because we knew from the word of God that,Christians must abide by the laws and principles of the Government of the day if it did not conflict with the Bible Principles. In order to widen the scope of the working place Felowship,we carried it to some of the corporations in Accra such as the Government Transport corporation,State constrution corporation SCC, Electricity company etc, which made some of us eventually had a call to avail ourselves to do the work of God.If these Fellowships are stil in in place, please,I urge you to go by the Biblical principles to avoid comfrontation.

Mr writer, just say you are an NPP sympathizer and you are happy the way Akuffo Addo is insulting workers that they are thief's stealing milk, biscuits toffees etc but Akuffo Addo is not a thief (His father looted the country and stashed monies somewhere and he grew up in affluence, schooling abroad, driving the best cars etc. More balance was still available for him to stand for elections, campaign three times (3 trials) and finally emerged the president.
Advice: The president is not God to give commandments to all humanity. The president is to serve the people but not control the behaviour of the people. Allow the law to deal with any body caught infringing on the laws. What we saw and heard on May 1 was like a master giving guidelines for his slaves to accept like a decree from mount Olympus.

Salifu that is not even the point. The truth is, any/every political discourse, especially in Africa, is exactly like the Animal Farm fairytale. Any government in Africa, especially in Ghana, that would say they were trying to get rid of all the bad practices of the past (governments), just watch them closely and carefully, at the end of their reign, no matter how long that takes, theirs would be worst (just like in Animal Farm). Rawlings is a typical example. And this is a guy who was not born into corruption (whose parents were nowhere near governance) and who always wanted to do the right thing even as a child (read Ghana and the Rawlings Factor). How much more a guy who was born corrupt, raised corrupt, educated corrupt and became a lawyer through corrupt practices.

As expected the dumb dumb in Ghana refuse to understand that civil servants include parliament, the judiciary and the president/executive branch. The rotten apple in Ghana's civil service is no other than the president, his inner circle of thieves with power and all of his executive appointees. Let Nana Akufo-Addo and his men and women appointees stop stealing, push out public policies that are founded on solid reasoning and not political ideology and Ghana will see improvements. What the Nana Akufo-Addo goverment have done so far is to insult those who are presumed to have mistreated his Danquah clan and nothing more. Has the Akufo-Addo administration improved the quality of health, safety and security of Ghanaians? Hell no; his NPP ushered in the terror groups, Delta and invincite forces how is that security in the face of their actions in a court house? Yet the dumb fools in the judiciary who got mad at the NDC 3 stooges for insulting them forgot that the Delta force group did actually invade a real courthouse and threatened a sitting judge. So how is it that the freedom of speech got the 3 NDC stooges or radio personalities in trouble but actual physical threats from NPP's stoogies, the Delta forces is a plus to the Nana Akufo-Addo administration?
So before we reward Nana Akufo-Addo for all talk and no brains we must render analysis of all the promises and vet them against what is actually happening. The NPP stealing has already begun in earnest and all the dimwits are sitting around not seeing a damn thing. Any Ghanaian who does not see the stealing of funds in the refinance scheme orchestrated by Ken Ofori-Atta and Dr Bawumia is just too dumb to talk about anything else of substance.

The past child's attitude of Ghanaian leaders to governance hopefully, for once, will succeed in changing the destructive attitudes of our lazy public servants and even our MPs and Ministers of State! The laws are available in Ghana. But their enforcement had been the problem.
Now we have a courageous President Nana Akufo-Addo who is ensuring the enforcement of our laws.
If the people cannot abide by the laws, the earlier they leave the scene the better for them.
Nana and Bawumia told Ghanaians in the campaign that the laws will be enforced. The time is rife for the people to know that a change is in effect.
Ghanaians must help Nana effect the change. Please ignore such comments like "How dare you, Mr. President!"
The job is being done.

Nonsense talk. You make it look like the Blackman, the African and the Ghanaian are not capable of managing its own affairs. It's so ironic you prefer that we continue with business as usual, the same old things that have impeded the nation's progress. No wonder we have seen so little progress after 60 years of Independence. What makes our running around in circles dilemma even worse is the illiteracy of our educated elite. They're number one in corruption and never get anything done. How did it happen that in 2017 we're now importing timber when only 20-30 years ago our forests had more than enough timber? Regardless of how many people we provide with higher education we still can't get simple solutions to our problems. What's wrong with the Blackman? After 6 decades of self- rule we're still nibbling at the edges, unable to make any headway.

It's really heartwarming to hear the President hit the nail right on the head during the May Day celebration. As Ghanaians, we have to change our attitudes towards work if we want economic prosperity. I can bet my last pesewa that the most corrupt institutions are both Civil and Public Servants. Fellow Ghanaians, let's change for the better if not the best.

Yeah, there are those who are daring the president to crack the whip against our archaic stupid "me-myself-and-I" foolishness that had redirected the country's mindset to doom.

Okromansa, go back and read and read the article again. You missed the writer's point.
You are absolutely right Esi Atta - Okoromansa doesn't seem to understand even one word in the entire article. I would have thought he/she (Okoromansa) would criticise the writer for praising Akuffo Addo all too soon.
This is a well crafted article and I applaud the writer for it. Keep up the good work. Viva Ghana!
My sentiments exactly!!! With writers with this mindset how DARE we prosper? Utter rubbish piece of journalism and shame on you!!!
You are a sore loser.
Thanks so much for this beautiful piece. It needs to be read over and over again by all well meaning Ghanaians. Lets all support the PRESIDENT.
