The allegation is really baffling. On the one hand, why would Mr Agyarko have to bribe the vetting committee? For heavens' sake, even John Bless Oti/Oti Bless John/John Oti Bless went through screening. There has not been anyone disqualified by any screening committee on account of (in)competence in the 4th Republic. Then again the question is, why would the NDC members of the committee concoct such aan allegation - whether for 'leverage' of for sheer malice? Cynics and some seasoned parliamentary watchers believe that parliamentary committees routinely take bribes from institutions and/or individuals. It is suspected that either Mr Agyarko or someone else probably offered money for smooth screening. The difficulty that the NDC members on the committee will have is to prove that they were indeed given the money. If they had retained the sums of money, probably forensics could provide finger prints of whoever handled those notes (not conclusive in itself, but a bit better than nothing. As things stand, Muntaka is the most vital link. He cannot agree with his NDC colleagues even if it were true because, that would mean that he had accepted the alleged bribe in the first place and disbursed same. My hunch is that the Ghartey committee will just fudge the issue and kick it into the tall grass, case finished!

Yeah, it is a baffling story , isn't it!? This kind of situations have happened in other jurisdictions on this planet earth. Usually the leaders choose to protect the institution and sacrifice the whistle blowers. The NDC immature hood looms in Parliament are going to learn a bitter lesson. Where is the evidence of bribery other than "He said, You said"? If Mutaka denies taking a bribe for distribution ( an illigal enterprise he is not stupid to confirming?), then the blabbering mouths stories become mischievous opinions which lack factual or evidential confirmation. Haruna Iddrisu says Parliament is a house of records? The only legal record for this case is opinions and mischievous suppositions of immature NDC Parliamentarians .
By the end of this brouhaha investigation, (and my money is on what Mr. Anokye Twum/Antwi has predicted), the issue will be kicked into the tall grass ! The supremacy of Paliament and its intergrity is more important than the stupidity of some mischievous blabber mouths without solid evidence other than hearsay to prove bribery.

The so-called lawyer Ayarga, if you are paid sitting allowance don't you sign a voucher acknowledging receipt. You just collect a fat envelop and put it in your patakari, take the money home, put it under your pillow, sleep over it and bring it back and cry out, bribe, bribe. I hear he is Harvard educated. If true, he is a disgrace to that school. A proper Harvard person or well-trained lawyer would ask to sign a document for accounting and auditing purposes. If it was indeed bribe money, then these babies with not only sharp teeth but also ugly faces did not handle the issue well. The truth must come out and the culprits must resign for by-elections although this is not the first time bribery has taken place. This is the 1st time the corrupt legislature is washing their dirty, corrupt lining in public. This dame corrupt Ayariga could not leave the signing of a gargantuan contract to the new minister to sign. He was in a hurry to get his percentage. Apuuuuuu tor.
