I beg to differ. It is not poverty that makes politicians steal from the government, it is greed. The Ghanaian enters politics not because he considers it as a call to serve his country, he sees it as opportunity for self-enrichment. This is possible because of the lack of transparency and accountability in the system. The NPP lied about missing 200 vehicles so that could buy new replacement vehicles for their own use. They won't be caught dead driving around town in vehicles previously used by the NDC.
