John Dramani Mahama shot himself in the foot by refusing to heed to advice from JJ.He obviously surrounded himself with some very bad nuts who wanted to see his back.Many key NDC gurus flirted with the NPP and campaigned secretly against Mahama.Even in the process of counting so-called gurus like Alban Bagbin had organized a party in his house in Wa to celebrate John Mahama's defeat when Nana Addo was in commanding lead by the close of day 1.The plot against John Mahama was orchestrated way back by old guards with key parliamentarians actually lobbied into to secretly campaigned for the NPP with Bagbin taking the lead.To go and campaign for Kyei Bonsu at Suame with the gesture reciprocated by the then minority leader for Bagbin as the majority meant a united front of parliamentarians determined to get rid of Mahama.John Mahama to be specific was betrayed by his own northern brothers who happened to be key,experienced parliamentarians who have served in government and party for long with a large following.It does not come as a surprise because it happened to Dr.Hilla Limann, vividly portraying the destructive and retrogressive nature of the northerner.The biggest and regrettable mistake John Mahama made was to sidelined Cadres and our father Jerry John Rawlings.But then again he was deliberately misled into the abyss by foes pretending to be friends that got the old man extremely provoked.John Mahama again dug his own grave by encouraging nepotism,cronyism and political patronage in an attempt to create his own power base with the hope of rendering the Founder and his large army of Cadres redundant in the party.Monetization and materialization of NDC politics hit a crescendo with this audacious thinking with mass corruption,illegalities and general anarchy hitting the party that allowed criminal elements without any loyalty to party course amass so much wealth ,well aware defeat was inevitable for JDM with his leadership style.The posture of JDM against Cadres was in a very bad taste helped by his own lack of vigilance and security consciousness against major enemies within the party seriously undermining him right from day 1.Bagbin was the Health Minister who orchestrated the dismissal of a young medical practitioner from the upper west region and a well known Cadre with the Youth Council in Bolgatanga,during the days of the PNDC immediately after the December 2012 election.The Doctor was actually victimized by the medical superintendent of the hospital who accused him of being a Rawlings Boy and NDC functionary who have been reporting him to bigwigs in Accra.In what appears to be a political and tribal persecution,the doctor was falsely implicated with a mental illness and dismissed on the basis of same with his letter copied to Alban Bagbin,then as Health Minister.When Alban Bagbin eventually invited the doctor,we were shocked to hear from him that the lady,then NDC Womens'Organizer in Accra,who escorted him to Bagbin told him Bagbin complaint of John Mahama not heeding to advice from him and Benjamin Kunbour.We brainstormed this with our younger brother,the doctor at the popular northern spot,Maryland and wondered what the dismissal of the young doctor had got to do with that digression as we thought it was a civil case grossly violating one's fundamental human rights.It later turned out that Alban Bagbin had very personal issues with the doctor who was fiercely opposed to his close pal Alijata,then Sissala East Mp and because of a land dispute concerning his Grandfather's lands in Tumu- Wellembele ,Bagbin illegally acquired for his extensive crop plantations.But the question is,did Alban Bagbin deliberately provoke and incited a known Cadre against the Mahama Government by conniving and condoning with the hierarchy of the Ghana Health Service,to maliciously,callously and falsely implicate him with a mental illness on the basis on which he was dismissed , knowing very well his plan will work to perfection because of JDM dislike for Cadres and Rawlings?Alas!that was exactly what happened.The doctor in an attempt to fight and clear his name in Court,having being let down by a corrupt system was perceived as deliberately engaging in acts to expose and destabilize the Government particularly when then Health Minister Sherry Ayettey invited him for a discussion that did not yield any positive results.The Mahama Government instantly turned against the doctor and worked assiduously through the AG Department to suppress his genuine case in court and deny him justice.The AG engaged in all manner communist inferior tactics,including obvious fabrications and concoction to punish and subdue somebody they perceived as anti-mahama government because of his background as a Cadre and perceived links with Rawlings.In fact the doctor was persistently monitored by national security apparatus and so-called NDC foot soldiers especially at the time election was getting closed depicting the negative perception the government had about him. When I heard a number of Cadres,i mean loyal ones(not disloyal hypocrites) thrown out or stifled in various party positions,then we realized the aversion of the Mahama Government,towards Cadres particularly loyal to Jerry Rawlings.When we saw overt attempts by the Mahama Government to gag up,subdue and render the influence of the Founder redundant,we knew it was a negative act that will come with severe consequences because the Founder and the Cadre Front represent the very foundation and bedrock of the NDC as a party.Principle enemies of JDM key among which were his own northern brothers took full advantage of his aversion towards the Cadre Front and the Founder to deepen the rift well aware he was going to lose miserably without the grass root loyalists.I have made the argument many a time that the NDC as a party have the popular PNDC revolutionary antecedent with a very large following some of whom work on the quit to guarantee victory for the party.Many are not card baring members and don't go about jumping in party colours.Many are intellectuals who apply scientific and secret knowledge in mobilizing and canvasing support for the party spontaneously(thanks to the PNDC distinct mobilization and organizational ability).Many do things for the party with committed loyalty sometimes spending their own money, not expecting any reward by way of money or material goods and so care the less about prominence through loud,empty voices,party cards or paraphernalia.Cadres are not ordinary people to mess around with because they were trained to be 'revolutionary guards' of the party with committed loyalty right from childhood even though i admit we have some wayward ones including gurus who have betrayed the socialist ideology of the PNDC Revolution for their narrow parochial interest.In fact it is this betrayal of the tenets of PNDC in probity,accountability and integrity that is making the NDC suffer profuse hemorrhage as a social democratic party with all the problems of massive corruption with general anarchy in government and party associated with crony capitalism,nepotism,materialism,dishonesty,malicious fabrication,backbiting,mediocrity,shallow thinking,character assassination,blackmail,factionalism,opulence,arrogance,power drunkenness,autocracy,political patronage and factionalism.Some of us knew right from they one that JDM was in for calamity by attempting to sidelined the Founder and his large army of followers including Cadres.His attempt to create his own power base pave way for his cardinal enemies who wanted him out to get the better of him.He shot himself in the foot by encouraging corruption,monetization and materialization of NDC politics that got enemies rich and armed instead of focusing on the grass root loyalists and the Founder who mattered most.In fact Nana Addo won so massively because many NDC functionaries who were extremely bitter with happenings under JDM either defected,openly campaigned for Nana or mobilized extensively on the quiet against JDM.

What is the relationship between JJ and most of his friends, Boakye-Djan, Chris Atim, Akata-Pore, Zaaya Yeebo stc. The man JJ is full of himself and I think the NDC made a mistake of making him a founder. NDC supporters saw a founder who used every trick in the books to undermine the NDC. As for the wife, konadu, the least said is better. JJ has indeed destroyed NDC beyond repairs.
