There are no three squared meals in most training colleges n compare the fees we pay, the fact that we work while in school , the bond to work in Ghana for five years before u can travel if you take the allowance and please there are no back pays. So stop lamenting and get your facts straight

But sincerely speaking it's a cheat to national service persons. The trainee allowance needs to be reduced drastically

I completely agree with u. I don't get it when the highly trained brains are made to suffer after graduating whilst their inferior counterparts are made to enjoy even in school. Graduate nurses go through the same hardship whilst their junior ranked nurses are overly remunerated.
often I hear about bond but these same people cried out loudly when the allawa was scrapped. thus that means trainee nurses and teachers prefer to be bonded? hahahahaha this is funny. # I stand for change

Go ask those on internship if they are fed three sqaure meal. Better still ask them if they are paid a pesewa as allowance. Colleges of Education are now tertiary institutions affiliated to UCC so kindly define your 'graduate ' for me.

the fact is that, the former president Mahama said last said ' tertiary is mend to train entrepreneurs n not to be employed by government' which I ask my self how was they paying service personnels n still expect them to serve something for business when is not even half enough of living with everyday inflation of products in Ghana. the question now is, former finance minister Seth tekper said the economy was not good n so they couldn't do anything like increment of allowances n others n even if it will cost them to loss the election they will not bring the allowance back to book but what did we see after election?? signifying that the NDC party were deceiving the Ghanaian people or wanting to make the our own country economy unbearable for the incoming when we all whether NDC or NPP are Ghanaians. Am a Proud NDC member but less be frank n honest even to the point of death. tanks

National service should be mandatory to those who graduated from government institutions where they received some form of subsidy from the government . This could be in the form of low tuition , access to good libraries , meals , housing and so forth . In cases where students graduate from private institutions where tuition and everything is expensive , National service must be made optional and not mandatory since these students did not get any subsidy from the government . All institutions where students receive some form of allowances must do National Service regardless of their ages with no exemptions
