I am surprised that instead of bullying Otiko, these northern men should be proud that a woman from the north has stepped into the limelight. These men are used to their women selling kokonte, tuosafi, megujia, Shea Butter and so on. Please give her a chance. Americans say whatever they want about their presidents, it's called FREE SPEECH. Shame on you, guys.

In my humble opinion, the attempt of the minority to extract apologies from minister-designates is quite unfortunate. All of a sudden, they are the police for morality and wholesome language!??!!

it is unfortunate the minority has turned their venom on this lady because they couldn't extract an apology from her for the words she used against the former president . Those comments were made during the political silly season and the NDC are just as guilty if that would be used as the benchmark .Why did they not focus on her competencies for the job? Was it this same Appointments Committee which approved the 'extra time ' appointee Oti Bless?

some northern men who see women as cattle and property see afisa djaba as a treat to their backward agenda. women like otiko will not be subdued and married off to an old idiot at 12years hence the bring her down attitude. as a man who believe in the rights of women, otiko is a role model for girls and women who will not bullied by chauvinistic pigs like swahini and haruna. rise , rise women ,rise and fight for what is right.

Thanks for such a brilliant piece. What minority attempted to do to Otiko was sexist. As if to say a woman must take back her views to be accepted in Ghanaian society. Very sad indeed

There was no need to apologise. She could have opted instead to be more diplomatic by choosing other words
In a parliamentary forum, her language lacked the courtesies associated with speeches from Mps In short it was unparliamantary
