Then again, all the others who claim the money was given to them said they returned the money when they heard it was bribe money. Is that how to bribe someone? Because if at the time of giving and receipt of the money the motive for the bribery is not established, then why describe the payment and receipt of the money as a bribe. It must have been given for a purpose, but at the time of receipt by Ayariga and others, there was no purpose for the payment of the money. So why term it as a bribe. If you disapprove of the source of the money, just return it without classification.

I wonder when Ghana will be liberated from the hands of these criminals called politicians.
Why are we paying ministers of state and parliamentarians sitting/walking/eating/drinking/talking/sleeping/joking allowance on top of their salaries when teachers and nurses continue to work without pay.
When are going to have one patriotic lawmaker in Ghana who will have the wisdom from above to question some of these legalized 414 schemes our politicians are using to dupe our nation.
I want to point out to all our lawmakers who are collecting these allowances that they should be ashamed of themselves for taking these monies when teachers, nurses, and other workers in their constituencies are working without pay and children have no classrooms to study.
If we are serious about fighting corruption in Ghana, it must start with our so called lawmakers who have sold their sense of patriotism for CRIMINAL ENERGY.
I hope one day Ghana will have a parliament occupied by people who will always seek the interest of their constituents with the same zeal they seek the interest of themselves and their families.

In school students go to pay their teachers in cash or kind after performing poorly in their exams. Don't just talk but do something about it. Install CCTV cameras in the house and make sure activities in the House are transparent. To forestall future occurrences and restore the public confidence in the Institution of Parliament there has to be total transparency in the businesses of the House. We can only learn and grow if we will expose and punish wrongdoing regardless of who the perpetrator is. No more shenanigans, no more lying, no more lateness/absenteeism. Parliament House is a public place of business and to ensure efficacy and efficiency in the transaction of the people's business and the safety of everyone in the House there must be a new ways of doing the business of the people. The change President Nana Akuffo Addo promised must not only be actualized but it must be a sweeping change that will sanitize the system and change forever the way the People's business is done going forward. I know it has already started but to make it effective no one and no place and nothing must be spared. Change is hard but the President must stick to his guns because there are many including some in his own party who will resist the wind of change and insist on the continuation of the status quo. If we want change we must also do our part. Too often in the grip of change we lose sight of what we're becoming. With time and wisdom comes the knowledge that some pain always accompanies growth. We can accept the pain more gracefully if we remind ourselves that we are preparing to turn a new page.
