Sampson Adeti, you stole a pick up donated to Southern Command. When you were found culpable, you maneuvered your way to the Presidency with the support of the likes of Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, and got Opoku-Adusei retired prematurely. Little did you know that you were paving the way for the rise and rise of Gen OB Akwa, who had been asked to standby to proceed on retirement. Now, the chips have fallen in place. The appointment you so coveted (COAS), you didn't get it. You're going to be paid off very soon and retired. In retirement, eschew those bullying and arrogant ways, s? w'ati. What goes up, surely comes down. You rushed your way out of the service. You could have been a candidate for COAS (tribal balance purposes). Now, you're effectively out and home bound. Continue promoting the tribal (Ewe) agenda. I hope the Central Band comes to play at your residence on your birthday again....lol. Your days as overlord of all that you surveyed are over!

Appointments in the military should be based purely on competence and qualification, not tribalism. Gen Akwa is just fit for the appointment. Professionalism will once again be introduced into GAF. Standards are standards!!!

It appears the top military echelon has being politicized. There's no reason for every incoming president to select his own chief of defense staff. The CDS should be appointed to set number of years so that their term in office overlaps the president's. This will prevent the office from being politicized as the president gets to chose his on CDS.

absolutely true my bro.this has led to almost each and every officer/soldier secretly aligning himself to a political party in anticipation of a future appointment or favour. how on earth could soldiers forcibly take over duties from fellow colleagues without any lawful orders at de flagstaff house on de Prez first day in office. All in de name of politics. Some Commanders/soldiers sometimes reluctant to take actions for fear of political vindictiveness.Thats how far politics hv gotten to in this our noble institution.i think the mode of appointment should be reviewed and devoid of any political machinations.

So Ellen Bredu, Osei Bempong, Adu-Sarkodie, Dankwa-Mensah, Margaret Akoto, Agnes Obeng etc were all your mates? I have constant communications with Joe Mens and Ellen too.

At MPASS, he was my senior and room mate in House 3 and was the School Prefect.
He was the best gentleman on campus and spoke English like he was born in England.
At SECKO, I used to visit him a lot because just some hedges separated my school (GSTS) from the then Sekondi College (in the old military baracks)
