Dr Archibald is fine man but the regional Minister should have come from Northern part of Volta region and non Ewe. We already have two Ewe cabinet Ministers from South Volta whilst the Guan and Akan areas who vote for Npp have been ignored.
The only Parliamentary seat Npp have is from the North Volta, they deserve a Minister.

Dr Letsa is a perfect appointment, well accomplished man, a wealthy man with supermarkets and one of the best hotels in the region if not the country, the only hotel so far in Ghana if I'm not mistaking that can over look the entire city and beyond,he will not be interested in our money as others would have been, I love that appointment perhaps the best ever, if he performs well he may be the best.

Corney, I personally do not believe in sectionalism, but to impugn that there are no qualified NPP members with the requisite qualification to occupy that position is an insult. People from that area may not be rich with supermarkets and best of hotels as you would want us to believe, but note that that should not be a criterion for selecting a Regional Minister. Equity and ability to perform is key.

Haruna Iddrisu is a wrong choice the NDC made for Minority Leadership. James Clutse Avedzi was the perfect choice for that position. Alban Bagbin performed well as a minority leader because prior to being the minority leader, he had never occupied any executive position and so the then NPP government could not find any fault with his past stewardship. This explains why he was able to effectively put the Kufuor Government on their toes. The same applies to Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu. What about Haruna Iddrisu? He is known to have conducted shandy deal whiles at the Ministry of Communication. As for the mess he caused at the Ministry of Employment, especially with the pension funds and the State Attorneys, the least said about it the better. No wonder his own party member and a colleague minister accused him of acquiring ill-gotten wealth. The question then is, will Haruna Iddrisu have the balls to put NPP on their toes. Hmmmmm

WHY DON'T WE GIVE WOMEN MORE RESPONSIBLE POSITIONS IN OUR SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT. WOMEN OUT NUMBER MEN AND GHANA NOW HAS A LOT OF SMART AND QUALIFIED WOMEN IN GHANA BUT LIKE CHURCHES IN GHANA THE WOMEN ARE JUST SUPPORTERS WITH THE MEN CONTROLLING EVERYTHING. I AM A 69 YEAR OLD MEN AND HAVING LIVED THROUGH MOSTLY MEN DOMINATED GOVERNMENTS I THINK WE GIVE WOMEN RESPONSIBLE POSITIONS AND NOT JUST TOKENS. WHAT ABOUT A VICE PRESIDENT OR A PRESIDENT WITH A MALE AS VICE IN OUR NEXT ELECTION. MEN WHAT ARE WE AFRAID OF?
