Keep your religious believes and customs to yourself and allow others to keep to whatever they want to. What is wrong with that outfit she wore? Why do you muslims like poking your noses into people's private businesses? Religion should remain a private affair. As long as she is not the face of Islam but a mere believer she should be allowed some breathing space. Don't try to whip people into conformity, allow them the freedom even when they choose not believe any longer as freedom of belief is a human right.

All of you commenting here completely miss the point. She is muslim and must cover herself as befitting a muslim married woman period. Why was she covering herself during the campaign? she knews it's significance. But now that they have succeeded, she's choosing to dress like an unbeliever. And it's not jealousy that makes people talk but rather the hypocrisy of it all.

I know a lot of well heeled Islamic women without viels . Let the Overlord punish them when they are judged in heaven. Lack of vieled never made Samir a an unbeliever. No wonder we are beginning to experience the birth of extremism in all major Religions in Ghana. Don't play God/Allah, you are a mortal. Bye for now.

Islamic fundamentalist radicals begin their social disruption by forcing married women to wear veil. They however ask nothing of married men.
Meanwhile, they don't even know what a veil is, or its cultural and pragmatic significance.
Moreover, they don't even understand what religion is all about.
Why don't you, Mr. Writer, ask Samira to go and sit at the back of the pack, just as you insist that women do in your congregations? Or why would you even allow her to speak in public?
Your understanding of Islam is that all women should be oppressed. Period!

My brother why are you surprise at her. Once the husband Dr. Bawumia has associated himself with President Nana Akufo Addo's Cultism as shown during campaign and after the election during his 3 days visit to Nigeria to pay homage to his Masters over there . The two of them has forgotten their root in Islam and embraced cultism. I bet you where President Nana Addo visited in Nigeria are well known for cultism and other fetish practices . The visit wasn't at the instance of Nigeria Gov't. Looking at pictures on the Internet you can see that he went there to render account of his stewardship to his Masters.

She does not need the Veil to appear Muslim. She is and everybody knows that. Despite her religion, she has independent choices to make and did it. As a Muslim, I can understand why you want her to appear Islamic (vieled) but she represent all and the must be allowed to move her fashion seamlessly between secular and strict Islam. To believe in is much more important than the vleled appearance you wished. Her faith is rooted in Islam and would remain so forever.
Give the sister a break.

Samira is defined by her sheer elegance; she's elegance personified! An inspiration to the Muslim woman, particularly the young ones who do not want to be defined by their religion alone.
