We all want Maggie found but Kwabena should stop distorting facts to make the police look bad. What motive would the police have to coverup for the poor boy? Some of us are being forced to rebutt because of the blatant distortions. When Maggie first disappeared, it was rumoured that she was using the cousin for sex and that may have been why. I'm not ready for your nonsense or any nonsense whatsoever. So get lost!

For you to turn sad case into a sex joke is serious. This is not a laughing matter. I strongly believe that you know the case hence involved with disappearance of Maggie. Readers of this sad article/case and Ghanaians could deduce from your 12 responses to this article that you are indeed involved with the disappearance of Maggie. You know inside from A to Z about her disappearance. Please note, don't assume that you are hiding under the internet with different names to fabricate stories to make it as if the boy is innocent. We are greatly saddened by this information, this, the beginning of the New Year, 2017.
From this account, it would appear that the "cousin" and several accomplices ought to already be in jail/prison, for so many infractions (larceny, burglary, kidnapping, etc).
While this is a police matter and the story shows that the police and CID have made a mess of the investigation, the larger family and clan could still have sway on the "cousin".
They need to help more, period!
BOTTOM-LINE: The Ghana Police IGP and the head of the CID need to take a serious look into this matter, They need to ensure their subordinates have done all they could, in a professionally appropriate manner, that all reports are being field as required.
And if there is going to be an update on these same pages, a recent (2013/2014?) photo of Ms. Margaret Akurang-Parry would be helpful, including a telephone number, or website address.
Sending a "Stay-Strong" shout-out to eminent Professor Akurang-Parry, on this, the 2nd Day of 2017.
Greetings!

Some of us are familiar with the case since the beginning and this writeup by Kwabena parading as some "concerned youth" is complete garbage to scandalize the police. He doesn't understand the law and police work and wants the suspect jailed for the disappearance of his sister without a shred of physical evidence. The boy was staying in the home so taking advantage of the disappearance of the cousin to steal her items should not be viewed as involvement in the disappearance. And Kwabena should tell people why the abusuapanyin are not searching for the sister. The boy was not only there to make her feel "secure" but was being used form sex. That'll not have been scandalous if Maggie was not more than 30 years older than him and moreover, didn't ask for his hand before abusua. This is a very sad story but the truth must be told if some people are trying to abuse their scholarship to distort facts.

I am from Mamfe, Akwapim, and aware of the case (Maggie's disappearance) very well. The boy is known criminal in Mamfe. He had been indulged with armed robbery and buggery. You kept saying why Abusuapanin is quite about the case. This case is not about Abusuapanin. Use your small brains to reason. It is only Mamfe chief who has the powers to move things or order a serious investigation or search but not the Abusuapanin. Though the chief went to police twice that was about it. He didn't follow up the case again. All your responses to this article indicate the boy is innocent. So why did the queen mother having heard the case called for the arrest of the boy? Also, why was the boy placed in jail for almost one year pending investigation and you James Osei Kofi never said/mention it in all your 12 responses to this article? FEW YEARS AGO A BROTHER DISAPPEARED WITHOUT A TRACE. SO WHY DID THE BROTHER GO MISSING? BECAUSE HE TOO SLEPT WITH THE SUSPECT? You are indeed an accessory to the disappearance of Maggie. We are going to trace your computer server to know your identity. You claimed Professor Kwabena Akurang-Parry wrote this article. I know professor Kwabena Akurang-Parry writing style very well. What does the writer of the story seek to achieve, throw mud on the chief and indeed his family? The wheels of justice is often said, grinds slowly, sometimes to our displeasure, but that should not lead someone to cast aspersions and insinuations at innocent people. You stated in your piece that the case is with the police, that you were unhappy with how the police hancled the matter,so much so you had cause to write a letter of complaint to the IGP. We are also told the case is in court, albeit on the lesser charge of thievery.... question, what would you have had the royal family do? were your paternal cousins ever involved in this case? did your paternal cousins ever go to the police to do their utmost to help bring closure to the case? if your answer to these questions are in the affirmative, tell us what more you would've wished them to do? meanwhile can you let the world know why they have stopped following the case. Discernment is paramount in such situations, and i fervently hope the good readers of ghanaweb are discerning. I doubt if you have read what we wrote. You are just stating silly things to defend what should not be defended. A family member, prominent one too, is missing and everyone sits idle unconcerned. It was only the Mamfe Ohemaa who acted and caused the arrest of the suspect who was on the run. What were the other family members doing? Waiting for Prof to come and save his sister? iis that how family works? A royal family! Some of the arguments you have made are very stupid coming from you who claim to be from Mamfe. So if Prof had not come down it means your relative would be gone without any action from you. There is such a thing as a secret pressure group, so take us to be one. A lot of revelations are going to come. You also know that Nana Yaw, the youngest brother among the Akurang-Parry siblings is also missing actually on May 27, 2013, that is, a few weeks before Juliana Akurang-Parry died. So please, keep quiet and wait for our next revelations before you defend whoever! In the case of Nana Yaw, Prof had to come down, except that the leads on the case is thin.
JACK LORD, You ask what the writer seeks to achieve? That is a stupid question! But I will answer it for you. The writer is seeking justice. He is telling the world that had family members acted promptly the case would have been solved. The suspect would not have been set free by the Adenta Police. The victim’s brother had to come down to Ghana to cause the arrest of the suspect. What were the other family members doing? Tell us! Even to date and still no one has shown interest. Your kneejerk response shows that you came to war to defend someone! Even if the case is now in court, family members can show concern and support. Just imagine if it was the chief’s sister. Would you be making this stupid submission!
SAMII NTIFU, You just don’t know shit. Stop telling lies. No one told the Akurang-Parry people that the boy was a criminal. Period. It is said that the sought information from the suspect’s aunt and siblings. No one gave them a word. It just happened that they know the suspect senior brothers and sisters, not the suspect who had grown up in the Suhum area. The Juju search, if mentioned here, would have implicated many since many prominent people were mentioned. Of course, the whole story cant be told here. What do you know about the Juju search tell us and accuse others!
MAMFENI, I know you, but wouldn’t mention your name: it is easy to see that you wrote that! You are an idiot. When your aunt took care of you after your father died, did he take you to the BNI to investigate you before taking you in? When you looked after your brother’s child, did you take her to the BNI for investigation? Who told you that they did not investigate the background of the suspect? They did. Except that no one told them the truth. Even if they did not investigate the suspect, does that make it right that family members must be aloof. The suspect was not the first one that Akurang-Parry had helped. They had helped his sisters, brothers, and aunties and fathe. I am also from Mamfe and know you and what goes on in that family. I respect Bro Opare for what he is doing. That is what is expected of a brother/sister.
YAW AGYEI, Are you saying that you visited the mind of every Mamfe person, that you went to all homes, akpeteshi bar, streets, etc.? If we say Mamfe youth, it is not only those who live in Mamfe. So get some intelligence. Granted that whoever wrote the piece has hidden his or her name, it does not make the story a lie? It is true that the family failed big time. And what hard earned reputation of the chief? Was he not involved in Metro Bus scandal? Haven’t his own subject taken him to court? Who respects him in the town?
NANA AYISI
You are the childish one here. No one said anyone has control over the judiciary. You think family members look for missing family members because they control the justice system? That is stupid. Let your child, sister, etc. get missing and sit idle? Opanying bone. Talk sense.

And palace officials would tell you about all these. She even had to reprimand the chief and other family members for their inactions in the case. She called Senior Agoroo (Prof) in the USA! Did anyone else call him? Even when Bro Opare called them and pleaded with them to help in his absence, no one responded! There is a detailed 40- page work on what happened so some of us know more about the story than hired writers like you. You mean to say that the family met and then told the queenmother to act. If you dont know then listen to those of us who know. This is common knowledge in Mamfe. Are you a lawyer? You sound like someone using jaundiced amicus curae, a coward, just like James Osei Kofi! Are you are the lawyer called upon to first cry rape and sex. Shameful. Hold on fast cos more revelations are coming. You know two family members of the Akurang-Parrys are missing so keep on flattering yourself with the English language. If people are angry they have the right to be. If others wish to defend some entities, let it be. Inn the end, all shall approach a junction of consensus: truth will prevail.

This article fits the MO of Kwabena Akurang-Parry. He's known to use his cohorts to denigrate his detractors on the Internet. He did that on Ghanaweb SIL forum some years back and he was caught. He later apologised and quit the forum. It's sad that his sister is missing but this is a cheap shot at the Mamfe chief and his elders. Send a petition to the IGP if you're aggrieved. The chief has no authority over the police.

We are all doing the same things using strange names to tell lies and to defend the indefensible. So what is your real name Sir? In my book, he is an honourable man if he used a strange name and apologized.
Very sad story, Doing good to people these days whether it is family members or not is a bad thing.
Yes, the suspect did it.
Truly sad. Young people in Ghana just like quick money.

My information from the maternal family shows that the prof and the missing woman were both made aware of the boys character yet told the family that they were ok with it because of their sinister motive
