Any nation that allows murder of the leaders to go unpunished no matter the lying propaganda justification is doomed to failure and that is a fact of history , NDC has continuously found it necessary to murder all Akan leaders starting from Kotoka's wickedness, to Acheampong and now Mills. We Akans can not call these Ewes and Northerners brothers if their most intimate desires is our destruction stemming from deep pathological hate and is manifested in their style of govt which has always been very destructive and retrogressive , be it the buga buga rawlings or the family and friends corruption/looting of Mahama. According to tradition, as a sub chief, he was supposed to accompany the Paramount chief(Omanhene) and other sub chiefs to the polling station for the Omanhene to cast his vote. All the sub chiefs were ready to go but they realized this Chief was missing and he was acting as an Agent so they called him to abandon his Agent position and come and accompany the Paramount Chief as tradition demands but this sub Chief refused to come and do his chieftancy duties.
So the Chief actually stopped himself. He chose to perform polling agent duties instead of his chieftancy duties.

Due to the influence chiefs may have over their subjects and in order not to be seen as disobeying the orders of the chiefs when subjects are asked to vote for a particular party which they may not agree with the constitution saw it appropriate to disallow chiefs to refrain from active politics. This is not to say that they cannot for the party of their choice. To the extent that a chief chose to act as a Polling Agent is too clear a violation of the constitution and NDC must attempt to plead at all. Politicains must also not mingle in Chieftaincy affairs.
