Bravo brother Cletus Kuunifaa, I take my hat off for you. You have not done your self proud, you have done all of GHANA proud with an excellent, tasty and classy article, the sort of which I have not seen on Ghanaweb for a very long time.
You have laid bare the deficiencies and illogicalities as diabolical nature of John Mahama's arguments. That a whole president would expound such hollow and potentially disruptive and calamitous arguments to hold on to power is just plain wicked and unbecoming of a head of state, much less a chieftain or village head.
May God bless the womb that gifted you to our nation. All is not lost, Ghana is blessed to have people like you, Martin Amidu and Bawumia in our midst. I can't stress enough how much I love your article. You did not fail Ghana, John Mahama did, and he is supposed to be the father of the nation. Dividing in order to rule would not augur well for the nation even if he wins. He is a complete fraud, bankrupt of ideas on how to move the nation forward, hence, his resort to his innate animal instincts - tribalism. What a shame and disappointment. God bless you. You have filled my heart with pride. Like you said, all the attacks on Bawumia are grounded on mortal fear that he transcends tribes and the probability of him becoming a near future president of Ghana is incontestable. He already has the youth behind him. I can't wait to see president Bawumia. Inshallah it shall come to pass. And if you guess right, I am an Ashanti but will invest and throw my money behind Bawumia. He is a role model I hold to my children and nephews some of whom are already set on doing exactly all the subjects he did at school. God willing one of them would follow him to Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada next year to enrol in exact same subjects Bawumia did for his masters degree. What a breath of fresh air. Love it.

Pul or what you are called. I think you have not sat down reflect deep of what your brother was talking about.
I know you may be well educated but you are living in reality as a ghanaian and may be have been moving in some circles that makes you feel as you do when you among other ghanaians who are not northerners.
Please , don't feel insulted by what your brother is saying but look deep into our ghanaian society to know that what is been said is the truth, even though it should not be that way.
Be wise to stand by your brother to preach that , " GHANA ", as a nation is for all of us.
I Can see that you feel what is said makes you feel inferior but that is not what your brother was making you feel.
Please , think deep here and know ones meaning before condemning them.

Why do they think the second position is for us northerners. This is what those of u in the party should fight to change .How long can you pretend to be equal partners in the party?.Was it the president who said you can't be president if you are not from resource rich part of this country?. When nana was asked about it what was his responds. Nana said osofo marfu was only stating the economic reality of our country. He supported him and u think nana and Bawumia who is more qualify to lead

We've got to watch out for impostors and those who have taken and destroyed so much. There must be a special place in Hades for all of them, if in fact there is an after-life, by any religion.

Look, Ghana was not a nation that was populated by immigrants from somewhere by the White man. Before the advent of the White man, we have people in Ghana then the Gold Coast. From Upper East, Upper West, Northern Region, Ashanti, Brong-Ahafo, Eastern, Western, Central and Greater Accra, we are all Ghanaians.
There will be some small misunderstanding when it comes to ethnicity which is part of humanity, but that should not be overblown to the extent of killings or annihilating one another. After the White man, some people from outside our boundaries came and settled and they have become part of us let alone those living within the boundary. Hausas see themselves as part of Ghana and I will throw a challenge to anyone to tell me where they are located in Ghana before the White man came? Nowhere do we have Hausas. They are immigrants and if they see themselves as Ghanaians who are not being looked upon, how much more our brothers and sister living in the three regions in the North?
I am not diving people but at times, we have to tell the truth. If you hail from any of the three Northern regions, please, do not be despair; we are all Ghanaians. Limann was our first president from the North and now we have Mahama. Politically, we have differences of opinion but in the nutshell, we are all Ghanaians and that our leaders put that partisanship aside and let the glue that binds us together hold for eternity.
Mahama's wife is not from the North and Nana's wife is not from Akyem. That alone is a signal of how diverse and tolerant we are. Nobody living within the boundaries of Ghana should feel inferior because we are in the 21st century and it is about time we grow past that foolishness, stupidity, crass idiocy and recklessness being exhibited by our politician.
We must agree to disagree and that is part of humanity. We should see ourselves as one people with one common destiny because we are salute one flag which is the "red, gold and green with a black star in the middle".

Btw, Hausas have been domiciled in present Ghana for 100s of years. There are records of their presence since the C17th. They played important roles in the trans-Sahara trade, the cola nuts and batik trade when Kano was the major source of clothing even up to Europe. They were there before the British colonised Ghana. After up to 400 years of being part of Ghana, they are still immigrants?
