HPP fanatics, leave the EC boss alone. She is not the one who is going to vote for Ghanaians. The people of Ghana would vote and the results would be openly declared. If you have any doubt about the credibility of the EC boss then train your party agents to critically observe the electoral process to point out any foul play.
Whether the EC Chair is a full Ghanaian or a half Nigerian is immaterial. What matters is that she is able to do what she has been assigned to do.

What is your piece about, Ebo Quansah? If being birthed in another country or being of mixed nationality is a crime you will have to do away with the very reason dimwits in parliament granted rights to persons with dual citizenship in Ghana.
The problem we have in Ghana with Ms Osei is not her child bearing age neither can it be because of her dual nationality but everything to do with mostly unprincipled Ghanaians lacking foresight but the worship of the rich and powerful irrespective of their sources of wealth. The case of EC versus any of the 11 disqualified presidential candidates boils down to a choice between staying a corrupt and contemptible course or adhering to standards and timelines. Let me tell you what our courts have done in a nutshell Mr. Quansah. School children are not given a second chance to go correct mistakes with their homework or exam papers. Courts in Ghana do not allow all litigants the chance to correct filed briefs; they throw cases out on technicalities and dismiss cases filed by government against accused persons with political connections routinely because of simple mistakes with state filings. So here when a judge wants the EC to have given mistake-prone candidates a second chance to correct mistakes you should know what Ghana can expect from candidates who cannot take seriously details on forms going to do with contractual agreements they may have to sign on behalf of Ghana with other nations or entities. Where do we sit in Ghana on holding the poor and the rich to account to laws and rules of engagement? The judge is an unprincipled moron who think laws in Ghana should have deference to the rich and trample on the poor. Being the best at interpretation of the laws in Ghana has absolutely nothing to do with being principled; justices on our courts have proven themselves to be bought and sold on the open market to the highest bidders. Instead of going after Ms Osei you should go after those who have helped themselves to Ghana's money in various ways and are showing us all what a joke our elections has become; a tool for the rich and powerful.

EC must be told that the information is inadequate, childish and mediocre and has the potential of creating confusion. .
I suggest that EC must enrich the scheme and get the information consolidated by asking details of applicants such as--- ---
-'-the Voter Registration numbers of applicants
--- and their polling stations.
Multiple use of the same numbers can then be blocked. EC, with it limited info is deliberately creating loopholes for the unscrupulous to reuse the cards.
Does EC really want transparent & fair elections? EC banza,

This is one of the most negative and vicious attacks I have read on ghanaweb about a public official in Ghana...To hold the circumstances of her birth as possible reason for potential incompetence is as primitive as it gets...
There was an orphaned baby who was rescued from the steps of a church, who rose to become a governor in the US....judge a person only by character, abilities and accomplishments!
Each person is endowed with a God given potential and the ability to realize your God given potential is all that matters...Half of the babies in the US are born out of wedlock...so what is Ebo's problem?
And what type of marriages is Ebo referring to as necessary for the offsprings to be culturally accepted as full Ghanaians? Like Ebo's marriage? I wonder how many ghanaians would in 2016 say " thanks but no thanks" to be born into a marriage as Ebo's?
Ebo's attitude is unfortunately a reflection of the backward Fanti mentality. That is why Central Region despite being the center of "ivy league" secondary schools in Ghana remains the poorest region in Ghana...It is the backward Fanti, pull him down mentality.....
I do not know Charlotte Osei anywhere, but I am deeply offended by this unwarranted attack on her person and her origins...SHE DID NOT CHOOSE THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF HER BIRTH OR HER PARENTS...
Leave the high-achieving woman alone!
Ebo focus on how you can improve your community!

With about 30 days to the 2016 elections, EC has still not given the hard copy of electoral register, the proxy voting list, the special voting list, and the voter transfer list to the political parties. If the political parties don't have the electoral register, how can they monitor the elections without being cheated. What does the CI 94 say about the release of voter register to the political parties? This is how the EC wants to manipulate the election in favour of one political party.

If Charlotte Osei is qualified by that criterion, then it's unseemly to be citing the circumstances of her birth as criteria of her suitability for the post. Maybe Charlotte is unsuitable but not because of her place of birth or teenage pregnancy. It doesn't seem fine to be saying such things publicly.
But if Ebo can make a legal case out of his issues, then he should argue on those points not on the sentimental issue.
Perhaps the appointing authority should have considered these extra-judicial issues when making the appointment. Once this wasn't done, they cannot now be brought in through the backdoor.
Osei should be judged on her performance only, not on her place of birth.
After all, the best and fairest EC chair (Election referee) would have been a complete foreigner versed in electoral practices of third world countries. So Osei's true (but hidden?) national affiliation is not the issue.
The point also should be made that the Election bosses in third world countries have TOO MUCH power. Where the electoral system is solid, the rules are clear cut and well tried over several years, the country's population statistics are correct and up to date, the Electoral Commissioner's role will be of little consequence. She will be unable to decide things by fiat. The system will work itself out naturally and smoothly without the intervention of the commissioner.
Alas, we're decades away from that situation.
