Traditionally, the Masai "pastoralist" are semi-nomadic. With their livestock, they move/rotate from place to place generally within the same expansive communal lands. So, the thought of having stationary bio-gas plant(s) is a bit counter Masai/African culture.
Still, what you present is an African problem that has found a solution.
And applied solutions to technological and social problems must be local.

The Hann Bay in Dakar, Senegal, has for decades been acutely polluted with untreated raw sewage and all forms of household and industrial waste, among them waste from the biggest abattoir in Senegal. Now, there is a "Masai solution" that has found a problem.
This to say again that we agree the applied solutions to technological and social problems must be local. Even so, this particular solution itself is not African. Much of the tools and equipment is borrowed from other cultures, information not available just reading your essay

More significantly, at a basic level we need to strongly appreciate the difference between personal faith and public policy. It is not evident that is the case here.
The Indians (non-Christians, if we must make a distinction), have been doing the conversion to gas a lot longer, more successfully.
In Ghana today, there are plumbers and masons who have the knowledge, training, and experience to construct biogas systems for new and existing dwellings and buildings using toilet systems and garbage, and special digesters. But, those facilities will not get built by owners who have no clue about the systems, or under the guidance of a government that has so little interest, and certainly no effective national standards and programs to promote such sustainable development initiatives.
We can say the same about alternative energy (solar power), though here we believe the government is doing just a little bit more probably because it is a lot sexier, but certainly not enough.
In short, we find this essay a tad bewildering particularly when we attempt to measure some of the things said in the essay against attempts at "critical thinking".
What precisely, tell us, is/are "...God given cultures...(without which)....nothing...will make continent of Africa prosperous...?
WE HEAR THAT: "...In Thailand,...the major religion is Buddhism and good marriages exist there. In Japan, Shintoism and Buddhism are the two major religions yet there are stable families or good marriages over there..."
WE SAY: Hands down, both countries have done a lot better job of developing their countries and economies, even if we remove the direct influence of other nations.
So, how much credit does Shintoism and Buddhism (Hinduism, Atheism, etc), give to "God given cultures"?
And when "...good church leaders...concentrate on what Jesus told us:...go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)...," just exactly like the colonialists who enslaved and forced the deportation of millions of African fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers via "...this...holocaust that started 500 years ago and it is not over...", who, tell us Mr. Yaw Osei, is the impressionable African child, the marginalized African woman, the uneducated African adult, how are they supposed to understand what "Critical thinking in Africa today" ought to look like, feel like.
Our belief is, separating personal religious faith from public policy is an important aspect of the critical perspective. For that reason, the essay, useful as it is in presenting information on bio-gas success in Africa, fails on that fundamental level.
