Until very highly patriotic/competent Ghanaians especially from the diaspora with a rich set of skills and knowledge and highly intellectual local ones kick out both parties including all the old greedy bastards in politics and the private sector with their archaic colonial/elitist mindset of draining the economy to everyone's elses disadvantage things will still remain the same in Ghana. As one can observe from current trends of politics it seems the same group of people have been perpetuating the cycle of tribal politics and poverty to the masses in the system for many decades. For example the rawlingses, Kuffour, Mahama, etc, etc... It runs in the same greedy families and until some bold Ghanaians stand up to fight this evil in the system we will continue to retrogress and reach a point where the few are fraudulently enjoying at the expense of the poor and hardworking masses! One can't simply fathom the stupidity and timidity of Ghanaians as they accept anything they are presented with from religion to politics. No one needs to study the ins and outs of the country well to know we are one a very dangerous path towards destruction based on the high level of illiteracy, ignorance and lawlessness Ghana is entrenched in. When a nation focuses it's all attention on fake churches sprouting up everywhere like mushrooms with their stomach pastors than economic and technological innovation one shouldn't be surprised the horrible state we find ourselves in as a people.

South Korea,Singapore and Malaysia all started with one party state dictatorship. State Corporations just like Gihoc were established alongside private ones. Detention without trial,Prevention Detention was the hallmark of both S Korea,Malaysia and Singapore rulers. To date, Singapore is still ruled by the PAP. We keep harping on their success without acknowledging the atrocities that went with it.Traitors like JB Danquah were jailed for 30 years or more and bankrupted. America knew about their dictators but did not overthrow them. The blame lies squarely on the irresponsible and greedy folks who connived with the CUA to bring Ghana on its knees. Btw, your comparison with Australia is just ridiculous.

I live in a little town in the Central region called Bedum.i am livid because of how pupils and students are being robbed by all the 4 JS schools here.a primary pupil is made to pay 30 pesewas and a JHS student 60 pesewas every school day for what the teachers term as Study Fees.in this very poor village!! So many of the kids either stay at home or resort to begging when their mothers dont have the so called study fees to give their children for that particular day. I am cork sure Circuit Supervisors are pretty much in the know of this openingly glaring practice.this is not the end of story. Here, and i want to believe in other villages as well, pupils and students weed, carry water and sometimes farm free of charge for Teachers, not to mention sex servicing some male Teachers as well.we all know that most Teachers were trained free with our tax payments unlike other graduates who coughed out blood to earn their certificates.Under this situatiuon, how will the country advance?why wouldnt BECE results be poor?????.Where is The minister of Education?
