Yes, it is worth having a National Peace council. Could they do more? Yes, like you pointed out to preach justice along with peace. Is there fighting in Ghana? Not exactly but there are inter and intra community fightings across the country that must be managed if not they could transform and take national proportions. Is conflict and fighting the same thing, not at all. We have many conflicts that are being managed through mediation and negotiations. In fact conflict is neutral. It can be positive and it can also be negative. Why is Ghana relatively more peaceful than the neighbors? Its because we are talking peace, peace and peace. So it is better to have the Peace Council than to not have it. But we continue to ask them to up their game and to move towards independent of external control.
