The Government must give him an ultimatum. To rid the police of the undesirables. Trigger happy police shooting innocents, bullion robbers, partisan unprofessionals, and general indiscipline in the force. Also he has to constantly retrain the existing force. He can ask for help abroad. If he is going to be all talk and no action, he should be sacked and a more competent person put in charge.

corruption is at it peak in the Ghana police especially the MTU ,
The act of beating a suspect must be a thing of the past-because it is unlawful to handcuff a suspect and beat him/her.
Let them understand that the police stations are opened for the public so they should treat any person who visit them with the respect due them , either a suspect ,complainant, or family member seeking bail for a suspect.
ask them to stay neutral between the parties, your duty is mentain peace for court to decide who is wrong or right.
tell them to stop delaying motorist by unlawfully seizing driver license
and threat them with court to jail them.- because if the court are doing their job well as it is expecting from them ,the police have no power to say i will jail you.
tell the CID to do a professional investigation into any case that come to their table
i will come to your office for more intelligence info

The next move towards a better Ghana is yours
My friends,
I want to express my gratitude for your participation in the “Ask Mahama”. Thank you all! It was beautiful for me to see how many wonderful people are deeply interested in Ghana's future. I read every question and message carefully and each one helped me to better understand Ghana’s issues; to better understand YOU. Each answer I gave is also an answer I provided for myself.
I know that you care for this country, for its future, for its children, for its stability. I can tell you are interested in jobs safety and economic progress. I can understand that Ghana is your home and you want to feel safe and secure here.
It is with confidence that I say: we are now on the right track of this marathon towards the country we dream of. This is something that you can clearly see in the things happening around you, in the way this country has evolved - and it is not just me who says this.
The newly re-elected President of the United Stated of America, Barak Obama, after meeting our regretted John Evans Atta Mills, declared Ghana as "a wonderful economic success story". Also, he congratulated our country on the efforts Ghana has made to root out corruption, increase transparency, and to make sure that government is working for the people of Ghana and not just for the few.
This is a proof that the road we embarked on is a good one and that we can continue to be successful. Our progress is not un-noticed and our efforts are not without pay. Let us carry on this successful story that is Ghana even further.

However, we have a long way to go. There still are issues we need to take care of: we need to expand the access to quality education, to make Energy for All the bedrock of socio-economical transformation and to promote a decentralized governance agenda. But look at all we have already achieved: we are growing as a country; we have resources that we are managing better and better. We have people to count on. We have a future.
Fingerprint Photo
I ask you now for your help to manage to create an even Better Ghana. I am positive that, in time and with a lot of patience, we can do wonders together - just like in a family.
We have come a long way; but we are not there yet. Help me guide the steering wheel further and create a Better Ghana together. On December 7th, go to vote and place yet another brick at Ghana’s foundation.
See my solutions for Ghana
Together we can make our country greater. Let us work on this project!
Sincerely,
John Mahama
GOD BLESS US!

You have a lot on your hands. Though we may not blame you entirely for the rot going on under your watch. There have been too many wrong things going against the police in recent times: car hi-jacking, armed robbery, highway robbery, involving targeting of bullion vans. Pre judicial settlements behind police station counters, having to do with rape, land cases, are now little flies. When measured against the whole rumpus connected with the recent recruitment into the police service. It is believed, the officers and men, who are engaged in these nefarious acts entered the service without having to go through the rigorous screening that characterized police service recruitments. The so called protocol list, forced on you by the Ndc politicians, have caused this gargantuan embarrassment. They threw in garbage ( most of their followers are ) the garbage is now out in the open. IGP, you need to weed out the undesirables in the service, to give comfort and safety to Ghanaians.

This politically blinded IGP is always dancing around bad issues. He didn't tell us one thing that leads to the making of a bad cop. How can you solve a problem if you don't know the cause or causes? It starts from recruiting; so long as the police admonislators cow to the whims of politician and continue back door and, protocol recruiting, we will continue to have bad nuts in the police force. These class of recruits are not scrutinized properly because they're forced on them by the politicians. Most of them are party foot soldiers who wouldn't had qualified the normal way. I dare the IGP to commission a study to get to the cause of why bad nuts find their way into the police force.
