LARDY AYENINI, YOU MADE MY DAY, WITH THIS WRITE UP. IN GHANA TODAY, ALL INSTITUTIONS HAVE BEEN COMPROMISED BY SELF SERVING AND CORRUPT POLITICIANS IN CORRIDORS OF POWER. WE HAVE AN ELECTED DICTATORSHIP RUNNING GHANA NOW, THROUGH THE USE OF BENEFACTION AND GIFTS OF APPOINTMENTS TO INSTITUTIONS WHICH SHOULD BE CONSTITUTIONALLY INDEPENDENT, IN THEIR FUNCTIONS AND OPERATIONS UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES. HENCE, THE HEADS OF THESE INSTITUTIONS ARE NOW PUPPETS, COMPROMISED TO A POINT THAT, ALL THEY DO IS JUMP WHEN THOSE WHOSE APPOINTED THEM SAY JUMP AND LIE DOWN, WHEN THE SAME APPOINTING AUTHORITY TELLS THEM TO LIE DOWN, RENDERING THESE SO CALLED INDEPENDENT INSTITUTIONS INCOMPETENT, UNPROFESSIONAL AND OF NO EFFECT AND BENEFIT TO THE NATION'S DEMOCRATIC DISPENSATION AND GOVERNANCE.

When you have suspected conspiracies in government, you will most likely see situations like that of Obimim arrest and more. The world is heading the worse direction wth intellectual criminals infiltrating government through politics to abuse public resources (What belongs to everybody) in the society. It is for this reasons that I pray that very soon, God help change the rule of government from the hands of some corrupt politicians to the hands of industrial associations leaders (Two of the presidents of the various associations) such that everyone's oppinion and interest will count since their industry's president would seek their interest in Government. Some pimps in governemnt are ruining the lives of innocent people and the future of the innocent children by their abusive or corrupt leadership due to self-centeredness or greed.

I advice the lawyers of obinam to take Ghana police to court and if found to have not to have followed proper procedural process then the court must also be prepared to slam punitive damages on them. Until such things are done to stop people, especially those in authorities, things will forever be same. Our system is very porous. One man runs the whole show. He appoints and dismisses not based on competency but political interest. To ask, why is Ghana still being run by this bogus constitution ?

It is always good to get people like you to share more light and expose the police etc. in the society of how the laws of the land operates. Its been going on in Ghana for way too long and they always get away with it.
I remember buying a plot in Accra suburb call Frafraha and in course of developing it this was around 2003 and up 2 police inspectors came to the place to stop the workers from working on the land and they had to report at the police headquarters the following day and it was the same night i was leaving for my base in the USA and my people called me whilst checking in at the airport to board a flight so there was nothing i could do,i ended up telling the workers to stop work and asked my brother to go to the police headquarters to meet those inspectors. When my brother went there ,he was told that the plot they were working on belongs to a commissioner of police so we should stay off the land or produce papers on it,it is a long story but the short of it is the police took advantage of my poor brother by way of transporting them and buying them food with the money i left for him so i advised him to tell the police to take the matter to court instead,we later on found out that the so called commissioner had no papers on the land and wasted my brothers time for nothing. Sometimes the police in Ghana think they are above the law hence can do anything that pleases them.

I was shocked when the C I D chief said someone made a fraud allegation against Obinim some weeks ago but they have not got to him yet. Are we serious as a nation if one makes an allegation of 11.6 billion old CEDI's money fraud allegation and the alleged culprit is in country staying close to the CID headquarters? Do we have to wait
till bishop Obinim flogging case appears before raising the fraud issue? This tells the layman the story is fabricated. And if it is some people must pay for their actions.

When will any of these noisy lawyers be bold to advocate a review of our Criminal Code?
They all know that the current Criminal Code is weighted heavily against an accused person yet they cannot, or will not, do anything about it except expouse foreign Criminal procedures on radio and T.V.
If a Criminal Code, as exists in Ghana, authorises another (prosecuting) police officer to be a so called independent witness in an accused person's statement to the police (which statement is even written for the accused by another officer) etc, why are all these loud mouthed lawyers not talking about it?
Your lack of ability to champion law reform is the cause of the mess the Criminal Law is in today.
Shame on you all.
It is only if they have been paid to defend a rich accused person that they temporarily gain their sanity and complain about the application of the Criminal Code to their clients, including this need for the foreign 'Miranda Right' issue.

The police will not know your mind intentions as soon as you are told of arrest by warrant. As a security measure, you will be restrained by handcuffing you. Especially, when you have to be transported from one place to the other.
So Obinim being handcuffed doesn't mean he is a criminal. Ayenini and Atta Akyea should ask and know.
