Surely, such uncommon style of writing does not impress most folks for the fact that it demands our extension of resources to comprehend fully what is written. But it could well entertain some of us, especially when it is laced with humor.

So, don't let us be carried away with our preferred common words usage to pile heaps of insults on the author. I would rather you attack the substance of his narrative if you would work harder to understand what he meant, instead of calling what he wrote garbage.

And before you denigrate his writing acumen, check your own grammar first. We are all not infallible, even when we put in our very best effort.

You began this contribution of yours that I am responding to with a grammatical error, and posed a misspelled word or two in your second and last sentence. Do we have to berate you for that? No!

It is okay for us to demand of a writer to use smaller words or more widely known vocabulary to facilitate our understanding of his or her message. But we do not have to insult him or her for the style of writing used.

Francis Kwarteng is a certified intellectual, just as you may rank your political idols in Ghana. You cannot take that away from him, no matter how difficult you find to grasp his verbiage.

And coming to the core of his message, I side with him that Mike Oquaye is a failed revisionist of our History, like his fellow 'Mate-me-ho' Hitlerian don, Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr. Phd.

It is their efforts to twist facts in their favor that earns them the kind of umbrage Mr. Kwarteng showed in his piece. But they are only entitled to their opinions but not facts. What they do is miseducating our young. That is immoral in the very least, and an intellectual corruption at the peak.

I think it is the subject matter they dislike, not the style of writing per se.

Those who are complaining here under different monikers are UP/NPP supporters.

For instance, Mensah Abrampa claimed to have met J.B. Danquah in 1966 when the latter passed away in 1965.

If you do not like his style, you are welcomed to point that out but do not insult him for that.

Many of us may simply ignore authors like that. It is our prerogative. But once we choose to follow them and read them, we cannot justify insulting them and denouncing their style of writing that we have come recognize and still read.

I hope you have made similar comments on his counterpart and Akufo-Addo's surrogate in New York, Prof. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., who also writes with obscure vocabulary, if you do read his pieces.

Don't get mad at Mr. Kwarteng. At least, he reminded you of your old days at Legon and of a fella you knew there, then.

I don't think Francis intends to impress anyone with his style of writing, necessarily. So, just work a little harder to understand his messages, or stay away from reading them.

Nevertheless, I would like to recommend to you Dr. SAS. He does seem to be frequent on this forum these days. But look out for his pieces. His style of writing is what you may love to read always. I them all for their unique styles. But I spare none on facts in point that I disagree with.

We can only fairly evaluate their relevance to us all by the substance of their messages rather than by their style of writing.
