It's gratifying to hear from you Mr Duodu once again on issues relating to our fragile media platform.
I gave always advocated that GJA must allow seasoned and knowledgeable media practitioners like you to organize periodic seminars and conferences for young and upcoming journalists to smooth up their rough edges and curd their over zealousness.
This , I ink is the way forward.
Thanks

You can't read Bruz? He explicitly cited the repeal of the Criminal Libel law -- a repeal that occurred after lawyers and journalists had co-operated to campaign against that obnoxious law!

Mea Culpa, Bobi!
The Criminal Libel Law was N0T a "discretionary judicial power" enshrined in the "statutes" like the "Contempt of Court".
So, what about the other exclusive power of "Contempt of Parliament"?

Bobi, who "edicts" that one cannot be contextually selective in commenting on an article?
Shucks, this is not a thesis-grading forum!

GIBA’s Caution
Meanwhile, the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA) has asked its members to be ‘circumspect’ when commenting on national issues.
“The Supreme Court has sent a clear signal that within the freedom of expression guaranteed under our constitution, there are lines that ought not to be crossed and there is the need to make it universally unacceptable for anyone to engage in such conduct.
“We will continue our engagements with various stakeholders such as the National Media Commission, the Judiciary, Parliament, National Communications Authority and Ghana Journalists’ Association, to ensure that the media remain free but the industry is well regulated,” GIBA President Akwasi Agyeman said in a statement.
GJA Warning
The Ghana Journalists’ Association (GJA) has cautioned the public not to interpret the sentencing of the trio to mean an attack on the media, press freedom and free speech.

So where did this "concern" about "campaign, law, abolition" come from?

The only one who can chose president is the masses.we voted JDM but npp disputed the announcement made by EC and went to court for the courts to annul the EC verdict. The courts up held the EC verdict which reflected our choice.to say the sc made jdm the president showed haw ignorant you are or you choose to be.
