The issue at stake is whether the Supreme Court acted unjustly by trying and sentencing Masse, Gunn and Nelson. In fact it is within the right of any law court to hold any person in contempt especially in an ongoing case.

It is my belief that Professor Asare does not know the Ghana Court Systems or even the English jurisprudence upon which our law Courts are based.
In fact had the Supreme Court kept the contempt case open, there is no way the President could ( even if he wants to) grant a pardon, as the law makes it clear only people with closed convictions can be pardoned.
And for the avoidance of doubt, the Supreme Court can make and unmake any rules as regarding the criminal justice system after all they are the INTERPRETORS of the constitution.

Acoording to your article the adjudication of the sc is based on fear, but not on justice.
