I have lived and worked in Mali and it's the norm over there. It's compulsory to beg with your twin children on the streets. I believe it's cultural because I noticed Malians have a few words in the Bambara language which are used in the Dagbani language and have same meanings; like anuula etc.

If the reason is spiritual ,then it might not matter who does the begging with the kids but in this situation, it is always our mothers who are forced into this habit, LET RESPECT OUR WIVES AND MOYHERS
