Is it readers of ghanaweb you are urging to do research on your suggested lines? If so, you lie bad... The bulk of ghanaweb readers are not researchers. The very few who are, don't come here to discuss research matters. Doris, you'll have to do that research and come back here and tell us, in straightforward simple language, the results.
Thank you.

Congratulations Doris! You are doing a good work. The early EWE history is indeed incomplete, and needs more detailed research work. We should all try to provide answers to the following questions;these are;
1) Which language is EWE and its origin?
2) Having lived or transited Yorouba and Fon lands, do ewes speak yorouba or Fon?
I believe I have the answers but I would like to seek other views. Dr Chapman also wrote some books on Ewe migration which could be useful in completing the early Ewe History. Coming back soon.

What's this shit all about? Go ahead and do the damn research and stop telling us what is already documented. You added nothing to what is documented

Looks like Doris may have been awarded a PhD for some research on some obscure history of the Ewes. She has nothing new to tell readers of ghanaweb. Instead, she's asking others to tell her what she does not know herself - with her PhD.

This is an interesting topic and will be more interesting if more research is done on it. Any link with Ethiopia or from the Easten part of Africa? I heard from oral history that the origin and initial migration of the Ewes has to be traced as far as to or somewhere in the present day Ethiopia. It was from there that they got settled somewhere in the present day Nigeria (Yoruba?). From there, part then moved to Notsie. And from Notsie a great number escaped from the wicked king Agorkoli. And the story continues as they moved in batches westward. As they moved from one settlement to another, so was the language also changing/mixing with time, because of the people they settled in with etc. The tribe of Ewes is indeed big and the history behind very rich. We/I shall be proud to know more.

These assertions cannot be made without proper and adequate research. The material is thin but something can be found out.
