It is counterproductive to be playing Kokofu football with Muntari coming back to the Black Stars or not. Ur reasons for rejecting his rejoining the Stars are weak. I think it is the coach's decision.

Allowing him back will be detrimental to team discipline going forward. He had a chance to be part of the reconciliation process but chose not to participate so showing up some two years later with an apology and request tobe included in the team is rather insulting and impertinent. We turned the page and he must not be allowed to be part of the team going foward.

You've hit the nail on the head. The question however is, will his supporters also see it that way? Like you mentioned, there are lots of nonviolent ways of registering one's displeasure. What happened in Brazil was bound to happen anytime soon. The question was when and where.
They succeeded in putting their dissatisfaction across through the boycotted training. But that one of them, and for that matter Muntari, would go ahead to slap one of the officials was way below the belt.
I don't intend to push the blame on him alone. Whatever it was, he could have held back his hand. And to those who hailed him I don't believe they'd be singing the same tune if Mr. Armah happened to be their brother or uncle.
What those praise singers fail to realise is that the tournament was actually a launchpad for many of the young and upcoming players. Just imagine Ghana had gone beyond the group stage, which I don't doubt, don't you think it would have been an icing on the cake for most of the relatively unknown players? Sad that the senior players, Muntari, Essien and co failed to see beyond their noses. It is pathetic they didn't think about their "younger brothers" in the team. Why should they?? After all they're all accomplished players and didn't need this tournament to market themselves.
That said, the GFA cannot be absolved of whatever went wrong with Ghana's participation in that tournament. A lot of people didn't need to be there in the first place. And how come some officials earned as much as the players were supposed to take home?
I can't tell you how sad and bad I felt, especially for Kwasi Appiah. He didn't deserve that. Bernard, I think in all fairness you should also direct your weapon towards the GFA and the then sports minister. They're not blameless.

He humiliated the motherland in full view of everyone, and he should never rejoin the national team.We cant continue to accept this type of unacceptable behaviour. Ghana is bigger than Muntari, get over it.

It's too late for apology, but forgiveness is not a bad idea at all. He just can't play for the Black Stars ANYMORE. However, who said it's only a coach who certainly decide if a player of such idiocy represents the entire nation or not? His [ Muntari ] moments with the Black Stars are over and the door is opened for several young players to showcase their talent. Again, why did Muntari not serve any jail time after the altercation? There's no need looking in a rear view mirror at this time, let's move forward.

Not only that. They (Kevin, Sulley) damaged the morale in the income and since this is not the first time those guys should not be entertained.

Why are so many people in Ghana support others blindly? Are these fools think without Muntari the Black Stars can't stand? The guy is a disgrace and indiscipline.

Hypocrisy is killing our soccer and other sporting events. I would have slapped any uninformed official who tried to run down players. What was de role of that particular official? Why did it get to that level? Players were made to open accounts at Unibank, why did the money not go through their accounts as promised? Was the global disgrace on the infamous money flight or the slap? Let's not hide on discipline and keep doing the wrong thing. What was de outcome of that commission? Do u remember the Lesotho incident also? Muntari is a great player. Ghana needs him more than he needs Ghana. Muntari is in his peak. He's playing in the Arabs and u need to follow him when the league resumes. God will continue to punish Ghana for indecision and ungratefulness. Are you aware players have died on the field while playing for their countries? Let's rise above gross pettiness and net hypocrisy.
