Mannaseh should be bold and tell us the name of the Coward he had the meeting with. There are lots of spin and propaganda which go contrary to what is being read here. It is better to expose the lies of Mahama to save Ghana from another 4-year cycle of crass incompetence, naked lies and useless propaganda.
By the way, there is portion of this essay that has got me thinking. Mannaseh wrote:"A nation cannot grow if we approach every national discourse with our hearts instead of our heads." Well, for the sake of patriotism and love for our nation, methink it is better to approach issues with the HEART rather than the HEAD which is use for carrying LOADS, and just loads, in Ghana. lol!

To all of you; how many of you would have agreed to start a sugarcane farm without seeing a sugar factory? Only a fool will start it though.
Politics has blinded us so much that common sense like 2+2 which could be 4 or 5 could be regarded as wrong answers. All because of Nana Addo Trump the failed npp leader. Tweeeeeeaaaa!

A simple study of existing projects such as Ayensu Starch could alert the people behind Komenda Sugar that raw material sourcing via value chain development is crucial to the success of any agro-processing enterprise. Accept the mistake made and rectify it as soon as possible. Government is at it with Cassava Processing. Instead of developing cassava supply chain, they are have annouced the building of three huge cassava processing centres. Where is the cassava to process?. I have a cassava processing factory with 30 tons Fresh Cassava Roots (FCR) capacity to process into Improved Gari. I am struggling to source cassava and l do not have enough land to grow my own. Organising outgrowers is not a joke. So, government communicators should stop the propaganda and face reality of the struggle ahead for Komenda Sugar Factory.

I'm just wondering whether if there are challenges in starting a factory, which can be addressed, does that equate it to propaganda. It is very good to have a sugar cane factory. The rest of the challenges can be addressed. I'll opt to have a factory first before producing the sugar cane to feed the factory. There would be chaos if you cultivate the sugar cane and you are unable to complete the factory. Farmers can be encouraged to cultivate sugar cane now to feed the factory. End of story.

I understand all that you have written. My problem is that I can't believe that the sponsors of this factory are ALL so foolish that they can sink millions of dollars into this project without any feasibility whatsoever? The money was not from our ministry of finance but from external resources. What paper work followed the application before the money was released for the project? Intelligent Manasseh, can you find out from the managers for me?

In the west they know projects have problems son obvious and others not so obvious. But unlike African who focus on why a project will fail, they do focus on while a project will succeed. And when problems arise, they figure them out with solutions.
We have raw material shortage on a project for sugar that if successful will help sustain our cedi from dollar pressure to import sugar amongst other benefits like jobs, profits, etc etc
What suggestions have any of you done to help our farmers supply raw marterial a?
Let's not forget that the factory have put up a plantation that can supply 40% if the right sugar cane for sugar production

Manasseh's attempt to defend imani's propaganda statement defiles logic. The attempt by imani and your like to take the sign out of the presiden's effort of revamping the sugar factory is unghanaian and only satisfies a certain agenda. What would you have proffered? That the factory is not revamped? We live in this country werecontractors would give time lines on completion of projects yet never did. What would have have happened if farmers were given the improved sugarcane seedlings and the contractor misses the completion time line as has always being the case? How long does it take sugarcane to grow that you would conclude that the absence of sugarcane now to feed the factory amounts to lack of planning and sustainability? Please, for once praise the John Mahama gov't and provide suggestions for the future.

There is a big difference between criticizing and making suggestions for improvement. What IMANI did was to harshly criticize the project planners and government without any justifiable basis. If you start by accusing government of propaganda, which i think is harsh, you should not expect kind words. If IMANI had suggested alternative ways of handling the project, and pointed out some of the lapses in the planning, I'm not sure they the debate would been characterized with insults. But if IMANI started by insulting and accusing other groups of deceit or propaganda, it is fair that the people being accused of propaganda react. Communication is a skill and we all need to learn from our mistakes. The posture or tone of IMANI in starting this debate was wrong. You don't start debates with insults and accusations.

While they lack the knowledge to create jobs.
