The Police Administration talks toooo much . if they feel it's in the interest of the security of the nation, they can go ahead and do it.
coming out to say they will do ...... is just a show off to me. want to tell us they got power. work and stop talking. the head of police I believe just wants to be popular . that's it. work in licence and let people see the result . then at the end of ur tenure, when there is peace and stability, share and tell the story of how u were able to achieve that .
don't we wake up on days where the network providers take us on a jolly ride where our messages hung and calls don't go through? we are used to it and if it happens again, we know it's them at work.
so please stop seeking or trying to seek credit b4 the work is done.

Please, think before you write because some of us who knew you in Commonwealth Hall are in agreement that your perspectives on NPP have become stale and antagonizing.

The IGP made a threat, not a decision, to close down social media. They may find it unnecessary if certain conditions are met. For all you know, the IGP is only issuing an alert and may never carry out the threat.
And if social media form only 14% of media usage in Ghana, what is the big deal if it is shut down for a few hours during the elections - if that is proven to be necessary? What can social media shut down for a few hours do to freedom of expression in our country that continued ability to call each other on cell phones and land lines not ensure?
