  I laugh out loud anytime I hear people say our Universities and for that matter our education system is to give us general literary skills. I wonder the kind of skills they are talking about. The education we practice here is the "chew and pour" type worrying students with irrelevant things to study.Students go to school(University) and are made to better appreciate theories than practicals, and when they complete, we expect them to them to be running their own business. Our education places little effort if not non, trying to help young people polish their talents.Our syllabus have not change to meet the changing trends in Ghana and the world at large. Until we change our colonial education system, most Young graduates will forever remain less productive, which will go a long way to under-utilized our Human Resources. If we restructure our Education, the youth will be better empowered to take full responsibility of their lives.
