So up to now are we saying that we don't know who are responsible for the leakages. From my assessment of the issue of examination paper leakages it is those who type the question papers who have been leaking the papers. What I suspect they do is that they quickly e-mail the questions to their partners in crime at the blind side of the illiterate security men of the exams council. The security men stand by the typists while these things go on. So let us not blame the poor teachers who only want their students to pass with good grades. The examination council officials should go into themselves.

If indeed education is the bedrock of the development of every nation, then Ghana can kiss development goodbye. The level of cognition in the country- the activities of thinking, understanding, learning, and remembering - are at their lowest in our history. The present day Ghanaian is bereft of thinking, let alone critical thinking. Common sense has become an expensive by-product of intelligence, and from the university professor down to dumbest student in class are all grasping for the straw of common sense.
As I have maintained over the years, WAEC is an anathema to our country's development - we cannot build a nation with the current crop of WAEC students, it is just impossible.
This is a great opportunity for our do-nothing government to get out of WAEC and begin to overhaul the whole educational system to meet our development needs. We should have regional super schools to 'grow' our future scientist, lawyers, engineers, agronomists, medical doctors, etc. Singapore, Malaysia, and the whole Asian Tigers invested heavily in education on the onset in order to lift their countries up, and they are reaping the benefits.

If we can't guarantee the sanctity of our electoral and legal systems, how can we guarantee the sanctity of our educational system or is it, vice versa? It is not too difficult to know that all these systems are intertwined. You goof in one, you goof in all. Every system in Ghana is corrupted, if they qualify to be called " a system" at all.
