Ghana will soon be in doom if the due attention is not given to teachers: Payment of well-deserved salary on time, making provisions for further and easy studies, easy accommodation, payment of allowances and low interest loans but to mention a few.
Hon. Dapaah should be advised to retract his statement before Ghanaians start seeing him as a slur to leadership.

Kwame, I'm your regular reader and wish to strongly endorse your sentiments here. Indeed I'm looking forward to MPs being paid realistically lower than what they receive now in line with what other equally important positions and professionals in the public sector are paid. This should limit MPs to really focus on their duty as parliamentarians as the most important criteria for re-election rather than looking for financial muscle as a means to care for or influence the constituents. Most of the social and developmental issues in the constituencies which appear to put so much financial burden on MPs are not their responsibility beyond the lobbying, advocacy, research and PROPER law making roles to protect the developmental interest and advancement of the citizenry. For your update, my good brother Hon Kan-Dapaah is a former MP.

It is mind-boggling that all those screaming about MPs did absolutely NOTHING during the NPP's
8-yrs administration in which some of them served as MPs!
