We are not children of God, and I also believe that we never left the jungle. White people simply imposed civilization and cities upon us, and we have refused to bulge. Even when overpass bridges are build for pedestrians, they still tear down the fences and cross the 3-lane highways like wildebeest. Yeah from that stretch of road Okponglo Legon junction through 37 roundabout, total chaos.
I think we need to abolish the tro-tro system, and downside the taxi business. These two things plus abolishing street hawking will take us a long long way.
Maybe we need military rule again, because for political expediency, no party will be willing to implement these commonsense measures.
Just 3 my friend, enforce them, and we are home FREE!!!

It is a complete chaos in Ghana when it comes to obeying traffic rules traffic rules. Frankly as the writer has said indeed, law and order have broken down in Ghana - more so when the security personnel who are expected to show the best example indulge in breaking the law themselves. Where are we heading to in Ghana????????? - Only God knows!!!!

I would use a lot of these observations and concerns and put them through the Ghana Police Service website in the "Have your say" feedback form.
This alone won't fix it immediately but it's a start.

I was in Ghana a couple of months ago and as the writer pointed out, the traffic was horrendous. Not only is this in Accra, but also in Kumasi, Cape Coast and other places.
Because of this I dread, I mean dread, coming back to Ghana to deal with unruly drivers and streets chocked full of cars. I dont know what the solution is but the government pays people to figure these things out.
