This guy and the npp were in government in 2008 when the economy of Ghana was on its knees. If he was an economic messiah, why didn't he rescue the npp from losing power. You guys are funny and ridiculous indeed. Bawumia is fooling all of you in npp. The problems of this country were caused by Bawumia and his npp when our cedi was redenominated in July 2007. That is where Ghana's troubles worsened from.

It's true that in the country of the blind, the one eyed is king. I do not understand the Ghanaian fascination of Bawumia's ability as an economist, other than the fact that he is selling himself to stupor and the gullible and semi educated Ghanaians are salivating over him.
Oh, how I wish the NPP would win the November elections and put Bawumia to work to fix the economy.
The question I keep asking myself is: what has Bawumia achieved since attaining his phd., apart from his position as deputy governor of BoG, a job he obtained through his father's political influence? Didn't JJ Rawlings taut Tsatsu Tsikata as financial wiz kid, and we all know what Tsatsu did to GNPC.

We must stop for a minute to think in Ghana if we are going to be serious about our problems; we cannot solve them through politics of preferred ideology. Daily Guide editors and board should at the very least know that Dr. Bawumia is not and cannot be the all knowing all powerful economist in Ghana the NPP and some others parade him out to be. Trust me Bawumia's handy work at the Bank of Ghana is nothing for the ill-educated and misinformed Ghanaians to troop out. What is not fair to our school children is allowing Dr. Bawumia to turn schools and pupils/students into Bawumia zombies because a Dr./PhD holder says so. The folks at Daily Guide should know good and damn well that pupils in schools across Ghana are brought up not to challenge people running around with doctorate degrees even if they spew garbage unbeknown to students.
Let Dr. Bawumia go to the UN or the IMF and lecture them on why they are wrong to provide loans to Ghana when all of NPP and Bawumia economic indicators point to a failed state.
