I understand where you are coming from as regards PPP but all those people are as corrupt as the government and its health staff.
Making a case for building more hospitals why don't you get a consortium to go ahead and build one.
Typical Ghanaian intellectual always regurgitating what we all know. Hot sir and nothing else

It's a myth that PPPs are the solution to all our woes. SADA, GYEEDA etc all practised PPP, but, did it result in efficiency? Did it eliminate corruptions? NO! In the utilities sector, it only leads to higher costs because of financial guarantees made to the private sector participants at our expense, providing those participants with risk-free investments.

The thoughts expressed by the author of the article are noteworthy. As he argues, it is high time Ghana's health infrastructure got built! Let all hands be on deck!

I thought president Mahama was improving the health infrastructure. Much as I hate ndc and its corrupt ways, I believe Mahama has invested a lot in healthcare infrastructure. The ongoing tamale teaching hospital phase 2, ultra modern regional hospital in wa, on going new military hospital in Kumasi, univ of Ghana teaching hospital etc. But what of what use will all these be to the ordinary Ghanaian when the best pro poor health policy in Ghana's history (health insurance) is almost dead? How can the poor man pay for health care in these modern facilities? We need to pay much attention to health insurance and the payment of claims just as we are investing in infrastructure.
