Mr Nii Noi Nortey, perhaps understandably, is fully entitled to feel aggrieved and rightly take the decision to stand as Independent candidate for the Klottey Korley constituency in the light of how some senior figures at the NPP HQ allowed and favoured Mr Philip Addison to have his way.
It's the NPP HQ that goofed big time for the favouritism displayed towards Philip Addison, and its failure to investigate the allegations of voting irregularities of the election process. Undoubtedly, Nii Noi Nortey's decision to stand as Independent candidate would split NPP votes in Klottey Korley constituency and cost the NPP a winnable parliamentary seat.
Lawyer Philip Addison, who has his eyes firmly fixed on the Attorney-General's position under Nana Akufo-Addo's presidency will surely face a humiliating defeat in the Klottey Korley constituency.

From my personal point of view, Addison would emerge victorious given the most favourable situation that both our Ghanaian Constitution and that of the COCAINDC do NOT allow an unregistered person to be elected as a Candidate.
Given this scenario, the likelihood of the COURTS throwing out the candidacy of Murderer Rawlings' daughter appears GREAT, with NO right of appeal.
Here, Nii Ashety (SP) may get the nod, but I think the supporters of the Murderer's daughter may vote skirt and blouse thus allowing Addison to take the seat.
I must be quite emphatic here to say that Nii Noi would be coerced to abandon his quest from going Independent since he MAY NOT have the right resources and on top of all, the odds may stack against him.
In all and all, I personally think the COCAINDC should never have contemplated fielding that lady.
