Well written piece, I am with you my brother but I still believe you have to be brain dead to believe in Obinim staged miracles and even go to his church.

Obinim fleecing his followers and politicians looting and plundering national coffers underscore the moral degeneration of a rotten society - both can't be right in a civilized society.
The average Ghanaian is bereft of an important gift of God to all mankind, and that is, conscience. You see, there is a higher court than courts of justice and that is the court of Conscience. The court of Conscience supersedes all other courts, and it is the main reason we have clowns like Obinim thriving in a people bereft of conscience.
Also, Ghanaians (including their intellectuals) are not endowed with critical thinking, which is one main ingredient in nation building. We need leaders who are endowed with critical thinking to solve societal problems. This is a major deficiency in our people moreso in our intellectuals, otherwise how can we explain the fact that despite having our fair share of intellectuals on the continent - probably more than our fair share compared to other African countries, we remain poor and hopeless. It is the responsibility of governments to solve problems - peoples problems, but it takes a certain level of critical thinking to solve macro economics problems. Africans, and for that matter Ghanaians, needs brains at the cabinet table to solve problems such as, unemployment, inflation, growth of GDP, interest rates, national output, consumption, etc. etc. Ghana needs men with brains (mental acuity) to solve our problems.
Since independence, only two leaders in our history have demonstrated this rare quality of leadership and cognition. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia. We all know the massive contribution Dr. Nkrumah made to our country. In case of Dr. Busia, love him or hate him, but his 18 months or so stay in power would have transformed the rural areas in our country and stopped the perennial flooding in Accra. Only these two men in our history, had the aptitude and intelligence in solving Ghana's problems. The rest with the exception of Hilla Limmann and John Atta Mills are corrupt, thieves and nation wreckers.

Ooh the true son of africa,that's the spirit,I wish I had Obinim,s powers to transform into a person who can reward you with a nobel prize for this piece.an arm robber Rob's just an individual or couple of people on a good day but politicians robbery if divided affects everyone including the unborn child, this to cut it short boils down to education,this thief strives on the ignorant of the people hence their lack of support for the educational development of our country,if a JHS graduate can bring together the class of people he mentioned as being members of his church,why should he respect anybody in society especially the educated ones with all their degrees?in fact Obinim sees himself above of President because his trade is permanent whiles the politicians including the President will call on him and his congregation every four years for vote and spiritual help to enjoy looting and milking the state dry now that the pastor claims he can turn into anything that may include verification machines and ballot papers,I can assure readers he ll ve the politicians at his feet.Not long ago Obinim decended heavily on our former president JJ Rawlings after he open called him names,people did not understand why the pastor could insult a former president who ruled us for 19 good year,but look at it this way JJ killed his way into power as PNDC leader,cheated his way again through the ballot box as civilian president,the prescriptions he JJ brought and preached was probity and accountability, those who bought into this lies re the ones ruling us today,the problems that saw him kill others for even taking loads they has started serving is way beyond human comprehension the kind of corruption going on in the party he formed and endorsed it Constitution with his blood,yet it's as if he's not in this country,re the spirits that motivated him then dead in his blood cell?we ve heard of account 48 disclosed by his number 2 man Boakye Gyan till date nobody can say what happened to it.So why wouldn't Obinim insult him if he turns back today to attack him for receiving voluntary contributions from people who identify with his church?.But in all this one can not do justice without bringing in Kufour who after enduring this pain over the years in the hands JJ,struggled to get him elected but he betray the people by bargaining and sold the power to the ndc on a silver platter, after bringing the collapse economy all the all the npp mentions as achievements under him throght the help of many others including Papa Kwasi Ndoumto to a 1/4 height on ther ladder,again for his selfish interest somehow believed the ndc could better shied him on shoddy deals under the oil find,example like EO group that has everladtion 3% till thy kingdom come as against the millions of Ghanaians who trusted him with their votes including me.Today does he ve any moral right to talk about corruption in the current government?because we ve not seen him talk passionately about corruption going on currently in the ndc adminstration right from when Mills tookover and now Mahama who has even taken it to the highest levels.Why didn't the President invite the Nigerian president or the Tanzanian president for our 59th independent day celebration? the focal lens of the world is now on this gentlemen as the hope of africa ,I believe they would've turn him down or say things that ll dialog the ndc government, but be that as it may,the time has come for the middle class and the private sector to rise against this government who ve shown that he has no listening ear to all the wisdom available bove practical and theory to turn things around,if the President can pass a vote of no confidence on the Kofi Wampah in Parliament in the mist of foreign dignitries and still allow him to occupy such a high office then what good again can we expert from the President? he has reach his elastic limit period,so we need change and I see that in Nana Addo who has thrown a challenge that he's not corrupt and never ll he be,if anybody know of any corruption case against should bring it out and till now not a single one from his political opponents who ve been trying so had through a one man commissioner justice Apau who ended up ridiculing himself for a reward.
