And what was the opposition doing in all these periods of acute mismanagement of our economy. Democratic development, Sir is a two-way street. Not a one-way that ends in a culdesac.

Who determine global commodity prices? The price of oil has continued to drop since 2011 while all the so-called smart people used unrealized future oil revenues as basis for Ghana's proposed development expenditures. The price of cocoa has not increased not because of production levels in Ghana but because of market pricing.
In the mighty USA oil producing states like Texas, Oklahoma and the Dakota along with Canadian tar sands have been a bust. In the middle east Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and others have seen economic downturn. We chose to make Kufour and the EO group gods of out time because of the oil discovery. And yes we excused Kufour era stealing and mismanagement; NPP logic on stealing is that no NPP members have gone to jail so NPP is clean. Yet the same fools will not extend that kind of childish argument to explain crime in Ghana. If all the criminals are in prisons then why do we still have ongoing crime? It's because there are still criminals yet to be caught. In our nation Ghana where no one wants to pay taxes while governments abuse or mismanage revenues we have created a vicious cycle of citizens wanting everything for free without paying taxes and governments who oblige to appease us by borrowing.
Mahama is not the problem; people in other parties repeating the nonsense does not make it so. There is not a single rich man in Ghana who can proclaim being rich because of hard work. I dare all. Behind every rich Ghanaian in our homeland is government money they never earned.

The price of primary commodities has fallen the price of crude oil for instance has dropped from 120 Dollars in 2015 to 30 Dollars today, so is the price of cocoa beans and gold. Because of recession around the world most Western European countries have reduced salaries, wages and have increased the retiring age from 60 to 63. In the face of all that John Mahama continue to increase wages and salaries of state employee, the retirement benefits of workers are been improved upon, there is also are huge construction projects in the country, one of which is the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Overhead Bridge which is near completion. I for instance no more wait for a boat to cross the river to my village since a wooden footbridge has been build across it by the state.
And what was the opposition doing in all these periods of acute mismanagement of our economy. Democratic development, Sir is a two-way street. Not a one-way that ends in a culdesac.
