They enter the office with only one aim; GET RICH NOW, THIS IS YOUR TIME SO NEVER LOOSE IT. Anything concerning the nation's welfare is out of their scope. Otherwise how come that parliamentarians and their assembly-men/women would be so much interested in the title "HONORABLE?"But we must be sorry that only undeserved people get the chance to enter into out parliament. I will always continue to suggest that our present system is not favorable. I mean this winner take all system is poisonous to the nation's survival. The nation has no way of checking the character traits of aspiring candidates to the nation's high office. I think it would be beneficial for us to abolish this one-man-presidency and develop a presidential council that would be the sole controller of the government of the day. That time we would vote for a prime-minister and his team and this council would the check whatever the government does, reserve the power to call the prime-minister for meetings and warnings on whatever is wrongly done for immediate change. Through this, power will not be in the hands of any one person. It is the investment of full power into the hands of a winning party that is killing us. We need to change that poisonous system if we want to survive like Malaysia has done. We need a complete change of our constitution and our entire administration. Presently no one has the nation at heart. Were they having the nation at heart, they would have never introduced the thief's system of EX-GRACIA. No serious nation will ever practice this nonsense. I pray that a real patriotic citizen will one day rise up and say I STAND TO REFUND THE ENTIRE EX-GRACIA I HAVE COLLECTED. All these are loop-holes that allow the president to be corrupt.

Who are suppose to implement and see to the laws working ? Humans. Who breaks the laws ? Humans. Rather unfortunately Michael, it is not about the laws not working, it's simply about the indiscipline nature of our inner selfs . We are so soo indiscipline that no laws within the country can help control us. Solution is to find inner discipline. We can control what is within us but not what is outside us, yet if we can control what is within us, we can in a way influence what is outside us. I leave you Michael, with this, ponder over it carefully, " THE FEAR OF THE LAW IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM " . Do we fear and respect our laws ?

Indiscipline itself is punishable if it leads the undisciplined character to infringe the law. The problem is that those charged with enforcing the law don't do so, which emboldens those willing to flout the laws to do so. Too bad for Ghana!!

Why argue when there is no one to enforce our laws. If I had my way everyone working for the Govt. will be fired. I mean it. Ghana is a joke. No one gets fired in Ghana. A building collapses and no one gets fired. Meanwhile, somebody didn't do their job-leading to the loss of lives. Fulanis are killing people in Agogo and no one is arrested but if an Agogo man kills a herdsman, he gets a jail term. Do our laws exempt foreigners? Chinese immigrants kill people in the villages and they walk. Ghana is a joke! Who is to enforce the law? If Mahama won't fire those who are not upholding the law then he must be fired or impeached. Too much lawlessness. Too much corruption. No one cares. We have become the laughing stock of the world because everything goes in Ghana if you have money to bribe your way.
