Which "serious country" would load over three million dollars in Hard Cash on an airplane, fly it half-way round the world just to pay her players in an international competition?
Which serious country would elect a president with a mindset like Mahama's who is a chump enough to accept dangerous criminals (the Gitmo terrorists) to the detriment of his own citizen----just because the whiteman asked him to?
Which serious country on this earth have you seen groping helplessly to find its footing----60yrs after independence?
What about telling you that a "serious country" would never spend in excess of three million dollars to rebrand public transportations when kids are being schooled under trees, doctors are not being payed and patients are sleeping on the bare floor in hospitals---EVEN MATERNITY WARDS----while politicians and tribal leaders fly overseas for medical care?
The list goes on and on! In fact it's over a hundred miles long so "rebrand" your conscience---for free, and let's all accept the fact that we have an enormous problem---by not being "serious" enough as country! We need to stop singing "kumbaya" with those foolish politicians since that's the only way to salvage our beloved country!

Only in Ghana can a total stranger, with no qualifications, no proof, and no credentials stand up and claim to be the son of Nkrumah and be allowed to believe that because of that, even if he came with a DNA certificate, he can come and rule over us. The "serious country" comment is in a very bad taste and a contradiction of the true state of affairs in present Ghana. Even to allow Onsy to get a foothold in the country and allow him to take possession of Dr. Nkrumah's famous walking sticks is embarrassing enough, let alone giving him the opportunity to contest the leadership of a political party in the country.
Dr. Nkrumah's famous walking sticks are Ghana's heirloom and they belong to the Museum of Ghana, if there is such a thing like that in the country. It is a disgrace and in fact an aberration for a country to profligate the greatest asset of the Ghanaian historical landscape - Dr. Nkrumah - Ghana's first President. Today if you go to American Museum in Washington DC, you would find the artifacts of all the great American Presidents - Abraham Lincoln, Harry Truman, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and the rest of them. But the foolish Ghanaian acting like a pig in a pig's pen has no value of these important artifacts and would rather give them away to a quack dude who walks in and makes a claim.
Ghana is not a serious country by any stretch of the imagination. Wanton stupidity and moral degeneration are our two main trademark, and my feeling is that in another century or so, Ghana as we know it today may no longer exist if we continue to tread on this path. It will suffer the same fate as our predecessor Ghana Empire. You might ask what is in a name?
